My friend, you are right. However, I am fairly familiar with current usage of the two words, I just inadvertently misspelled "vain." Let me quote one of the most quotable people ever pertaining to this:

I wouldn't have bothered to bring it up but I noticed someone else also used the incorrect spelling.

Oh, and I don't give a rat's ass how Mark Twain spells. It is my opinion that your writing is a reflection of you. If you lace your writing with misspelled words and poor grammar it shows that you either don't care or are poorly educated or both.

Anyone who doesn't love and accept gays today will get the beat down of a lifetime for not conforming to the current and ever changing views of society at large.
Don't flame me though. I love and support gays. As a matter of fact, if I wasn't straight and didn't find men disgusting then I'd have no problem being gay. So go easy. Don't bludgeon me to death. Actually, the right thing to do if I want to REALLY conform to the new standard and support gays, is to offer to become gay.
