Get this...a co-worker starts talking to me and i drink out of this water bottle i got a year ago and he is like "i will buy that bottle off of you for $200." He is typically really tight with his money and doesn't do wierd stuff like this. Given, i am at the work place and it seems kind of fishy. So i have this water bottle and i need to decide (according to him) to sell it to him for $200 by the end of the day. Would you do it at a workplace? Does it seem fishy? what would you do?
p.s. His GF just got her car stolen and supposedly he did this with another co-worker for a sharpie and the co-worker took the $100. What the hell?!

He came in this morning on time and happy as can be. I just had a chance to talk to him and he brought up the subject. He said he would tell me what is going on later. I am impartial to the guy, he is just acting wierd. I did not sell the water bottle and it was still here this morning
He seems to really have no recollection of it. He gave me a look like "wtf?" when I asked if i could get that $200 of him for the water bottle

So, I come into work this morning and yesterday evening when I was leaving he started complaining to me about the "noises" we make at work occasionally and how he finds it degrading. We try to make sounds like Flipper sometimes and a couple of us are good at it. Supposedly, he went to HR and complained that we are making fun of South Africa or something? I have no idea...but I wasn't one of the two that this affected.
Anyways, our boss pulls us all in but him (6 of us) and tells us that there will be no more messing around and having fun at work. "They pay us well and we are salary. While you are here, just do your job." They don't really pay me that well, but I understand what he is saying. Anyways, the whole department is upset about this stuff. Things like this do not positively contribute to the already dying moral...
On a partial side note, if i filmed my day yesterday, it would have been Office Space 2. Our boss reminds us to do things a number of times and then watches over our shoulders to make sure we are doing it the "right" way...aka his way. He tells us to "over-communicate" to all other departments and makes this weird ass sucking in sound...just like "mkay" from Lumberg! Given, every day isnt the worst day of my life...but everything else seems to be verbatim

Update:
So I have heard from another co-worker that he said he was going to go "columbine" on us. Our boss pulled all of us into a meeting and told us to act professional and all that. The co-worker has basically threatened us from what I think and I don't feel 100% safe at work. That is the story in a nutshell. I do not want to go into more details.

It seems it has cooled down a lot and it is blowing over. I am just here to work today and try to stay as low as possible to make it to the weekend. A couple days away from here should help out for most of these people...gosh.
