I'd agree with it if it said 'Cocaine is better for you than WoW.'
I'm so fvcking sick of mmorpgs - and especially WoW - that I find myself thinking my druggie friends in high school were better friends than my current friends that are hooked on playing WoW for 8-15 hours/day.
Right now, I have 3 roommates (one is my brother) that play WoW 8-15 hours/day. One had a 3.9 GPA in college until his graduating semester where his WoW addiction caused him to fail almost all his classes. I have another roommate who dropped out of UF to play Evercrack, then Anarchy Online, and then WoW. He has trouble keeping up with rent because he plays WoW so goddamn much he can barely wake himself to go to work. Then.. my brother.. he manages his WoW time better than the other roommates - but he still considers 6 hours of play/day as light.
I fvcking hate this. I couldn't bring a girl back to this sh!t if I wanted. My condo reaks of loser nerds.
IMO, video games are great - the kind you can beat. However, mmorpgs, where getting a stupid item can take 20 hours of gameplay, need to fvcking change.
I even had my own mmorpg problems when I played Shadowbane too much... but at least in Shadowbane no one cared much about items and you didn't have to spend weeks just grinding one character.
Argh.. I want my normal (pre WOW) roommates back!
BTW, I really have nothing against video games.. I do have everything against an mmorpg that somehow convinces normal people that spending 10 hours straight all so they can defeat some boss (that is merely some data that someone created) with 39 of their friends is worth while.
Blizzard can rot in hell. WoW is such a pussy MMO anyway. /Shadowbane forever...
