OK, so then why stick around in the thread? The colors are a lot better in this game than they were in BO 1 & 2, as well as Ghosts. Hell, the colors are better than BF4 as well. To be honest, I can't think of the last game that "immersed" me besides Farcry 3 or Metro 2033.
Because its a free country and free forum.....

Not that its any of your concern, but Im just checking out how things are going with the game and its release. Dont want to talk to me about the game? Then ignore my posts and dont ask me questions, there's no need to be an ass.

If I were simply interested in "colors" I'd play fruit ninja.

So then perhaps you missed where you typed dull and lifeless - the color scheme has a lot to do with that. I was never an ass to you - I just don't understand the point of posting in a topic where you have no opinion of the game that's being discussed.

Perhaps Im looking to see what opinions people who have actually played the game think of it, and if I read someone's post that I feel like commenting on, then I do so. Isnt that the point of these forums?

I never said "dull and lifeless", I said "dull and pointless". Meaning to me its just been the same game over and over, verbatim since MW2, for me its just gotten old and boring. Ive been a longtime CoD fan and always hold out hope that the next game will be better, but so far the negative opinions of AW seem to outweigh the good here at ATPCG.

Your "why stick around" question seemed a little uncalled for, especially when you were asking me questions that I tried to answer.

What negative opinions are you seeing? So far, I've only seen pretty glowing reviews - outside of a few "issues," i.e. lag comp and some challenges that reset, the game is pretty solid.

I honestly think the game is f&^%$ brilliant which is why I am pissed about the matchmaking issues I am having. I just want to play the game I bought!

The key to EXO is DON'T THINK ABOUT iT. Just play the game like you would any other COD, only use more of an emphasis on mobility. Literally the only thing you need to think about is the Ground slam, which is a bit of an esoteric attack anyways and not really useful most of the time. Just play the game, it is really quite cool what Sledgehammer did as far as gameplay. Now just need to get some drivers from AMD and a patch to fix matchmaking.,.

drivers from AMD and patch fixed nothing for me, still getting bad FPS and Defender, Instinct, and Recovery maps don't load forcing me to ctrl-alt-delete and force stop the process.

^ bad fps drops

Have you verified your cache files yet? Usually certain maps not loading points directly to a corrupt file or two.

At least you didn't trade your most basic consumer right (return a bad product) for preloading the game. A friend of mine makes good money, $60 is not going to hurt him but it still stings. I played a little over an hour total over the weekend. If you do ok in BF4, you'll do great in AW, there is a lot less to worry about but the host migration will annoy the hell out of you.

I don´t think BF4 is fast paced at all, this seems to be a lot "faster". I´m interested in the opinions of other BF4 players, as I haven´t touched BF4 for months and would like something new.

I have great memories of COD4. It was the best. I think people need to stop buying these cookie cutter games before they decide to make something new again.

AW (and pretty much any COD game for that matter) is faster paced than BF4. I find them both equally enjoyable but in different ways. I only play Conquest in BF4 and TDM/Domination in COD, so the map sizes, player count and strategy of play is completely different between the two.

I think you should try playing a game before you criticize it.

You go from being moderately decent in a BF game to getting a ass kicking in COD. The twitchy teenagers having a red bull crap all over a veteran BF player. BO1 can be a bit frustrating for me when you end up needing the reflexes of a Chuck Norris in his prime. You see a enemy and before you press the fire button BOOM your down instantly lol.

Never really played anything twitchy so i guess going from something like BF3 conquest to a COD TDM match can really open your eyes to how BF games can make you feel incredibly slow and fat compared to these teenager COD vets.

I'm alright in battlefield and after I started playing battlefield I stopped playing cod for the same reasons. But again I was pretty good in titanfall too and that was a fast paced game as well.

i can't stand playing it anymore. It's too boring. Bought it for 60 day of, and then I just can't get into the SP. Not much into Multiplayer though..

If you played any of the other games the last year or two then you would know the single player isn't anything special. Multi is why most people buy this title.

COD:Ghost is supposed to have a insanely fast ttk. I know one of my cousins is a avid COD player on the ps3 and has owned and played about all of them going back to MW3 but after being pumped and playing Ghost he went right back to BO2.:awe:

Funny part is i have seen him beast in BO2 but Ghost is just something else, he hasn't touched that damn game in ages.

My little brother is great in any of the older cod games. He too got ghosts and went back to black ops 2. I've watched him play and he is great but he said the same thing about ghosts. Hell I just buy the game to play the sp, try the multiplayer and trade it next week or later for far cry 4.

I suck at this mp in cod and usually in general although I do have fun.

Yeah my cousin has like a little COD coven from time to time and like up to 3 guys would hook up 2 ps3 consoles and they would frag all night and crash at like 6am.None of them pop the Ghost Disc EVER in the PS3. Its pretty much like a untouched wife.:awe:

I tried COD4, COD world at war, and COD MW2. They were all the same with different tweaks and settings. I learned my lesson already. The COD franchise owners would love me to be stupid enough to keep paying $60 for the same game, I'm sure. So no, I won't be "trying" this game for a fourth time.

Also, if you are willing to give me the $60 required to "try" this game, then I will be glad to "try" it for you and give you my brand new, shiny opinion.

Im waiting for a free weekend to try it just like I did with MW3 and Ghosts. After watching some gameplay vids it looks just like BO2 with jet packs to me.

There have been enough negative comments in this thread alone to dissuade me from buying for the time being. And just what CoD game hasnt gotten glowing reviews so far, even if they were garbage? Looking straight at you Ghosts-MW3...gag!

And the same can be said for ANY OTHER GAME SERIES. But I'm sure you'll be happy to plop down $60 for the next BF title - because BF4's release was so awesome, right? They barely fixed the broken-ass netcode.

Pretty much the only person I've seen complaining in this thread is FF - and that's apparently hardware related. As for glowing reviews for Ghosts - never even saw one for PC, they ripped that piece of crap apart. I waited until I saw a legit review before buying AW, as well as gameplay on PC.

You can say the same thing about BF4, BF3, BF: BC2, BF2142, and BF2.

They're all just different maps, different weapons, different game modes, and a few gimmicks thrown in the mix here and there. BF2142 - we have MECHS instead of tanks, ZOMG! BF3 - now you can blow up the walls of buildings... for no apparent reason! BF4 - now you can blow up EVEN MORE stuff, and some buildings will COMPLETELY collapse!

With the exception of the rare occasion when someone is hiding behind a destructible wall and you just happen to have an RPG, it's all a gimmick. Why I'm completely safe inside a shipping container, but not inside of a concrete building? The shipping container wasn't programmed to be destructible, that's why. Don't get me wrong, I think Frostbyte is a step in the right direction, but until we get to the point where entire maps can be leveled like they would be in real life with so many munitions flying around, it's only a minor part of the overall game. If they get to the point where every structure can be damaged and collapse in a realistic way, and build a game mode where one team actually needs to prevent a building / area from being destroyed, being mindful to important structural assets that the building relies on, it will be a game changer. Until then, it's kind of fun to look at, but little else.

I absolutely love the Battlefield games, and am still playing BF4 somewhat regularly. Saying that they're so evolutionary compared to the COD games is a farce, though. Both lines are just recycled concepts with some new frills and little truly new. And you know what? They're great fun, too. Don't buy these games and complain about how much it's like the last one; buy these games knowing that you're getting the same thing with a few artistic flares, forget the nay-sayers, and have fun.

I buy whatever please, whenever I please, and there's nothing you can say or do that will dissuade me. Its becoming very obvious that you are incapable of carrying on a civil conversation.

Im glad you like the game, I just wish you liked it enough to play it more often and spent less time in here trolling me. LOL

My friend bought it on the Xbox and it's pretty fun with MP. I don't think I will buy it on PC though with WoD around the corner.
