What did you expect buying the latest COD turd ? Just not worth it. The online community is dead in a month on PC as COD sells poorly on the PC platform.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. I was playing BO2 online in a full lobby literally just a few days ago.

CoD is probably one of the most consistent franchises out there. That's not necessarily a bad thing. But if you didn't like one of the prior CoD entries, it's not surprising that AW won't satisfy, you know what they say about the definition of insanity...

I was watching a few playthroughs. Not impressed. Better than most recent COD's but IMO still not good enough. It's like reviewers never knew servers with lowered gravity existed. Verticality drives up review scores? Prepare for jetpacks becoming an FPS standard. As if copying that from TF wasn't enough, I cringed when I heard a character named"Prophet" (VA sounded like Jason Statham)in a cutscene. Ripping Ghost Recon's "Advanced Warfighter" wasn't enough, they copied the main character's name (Mitchell) from GR:AW too.

Can't speak much for MP because I saw a lot of abuse of people that were playing like they forgot jet packs were in the game but the few SP vertical slices were still the same ol' corridors with "leaving the mission area" restrains and awful QTE's. Still better than Ghosts from what I have seen but looks like reviewers were a bit too generous with it.

grasping at straws much? really? Only 1 game is allowed to use the names Mitchell and Prophet? On my team at work, there are 3 guys named Mike. I bet that would piss you off so bad if you worked there.

Remember CoD:4? That game was the best, I wish they'd bring that kind of innovation to the table again. I think they forgot that's what put them on the map and brought the game into the mainstream, because CoD:4 caused a revolution in FPS games when it was released - why not do that again.

They have no innovation in them. The people responsible for COD 4 left the company and now they excrete the same thing every year in and out. They are still using the Quake 3 engine with modifications and pumping out the same turd every year.

No wonder this is so ugly. Its releasing for stone age gen too! I shot a fishtank and the glass splintered like a PSX texture - so next gen! I saw random objects bounce around like cardboard as nothing is destructible unless the devs make is so - so next gen! Bullet decals in the world are up to PS2 level - so next gen! Look at Arlington cemetery in the pic Grooveriding posted, it looked fantastic in 2007 - so next gen!

At least they fixed the atrocious sound of the last two and its mixed properly. 40GB+ for this? For what? I actually wandered off a prescripted path (you were supposed to go forward) and the game motion blurred and froze - what? People actually play this?

I absolutely love the game, and it looks really good as well.

Been playing it all day, I see my memory 16gbs at 1866mhz hit 70% usage on the games. Other then that runs 60+ on AMD 8370, and Asus Strix 970

I should also add - 780 Ti GHz is at an earth-shattering 60% usage maxed out minus SSAA at 1200p. Its so advanced the PS2 would be proud. Its ridiculous jumping around like a coked up hamster too, I'm surprised the enemy didn't stop shooting and die laughing.

Talk about bad QTE's, I watched a guy get mad after failing the final QTE sequences. Eventually he gets past the spot he got stuck on but only to fail the very last QTE prompt. He was supposed to press a key not used before, the prompt said "press unbound key" which he of course failed and had to go through settings to change it to finish the campaign. It's a good thing no one buys COD for SP.

Havent played cod since mw3 and i played only half the sp and maybe a few minutes of mp. Didnt buy or play anything after that so not sure how its my "beloved" cod? I have no plans on buying it either.

I come on here to make fun of the people who bash it, like its something no one else has ever done before. Its hilarious to see the same people post the same drivel in every cod thread.

And then there the really special people (emphasis on special) that think i love the game and am defending it.

Against my better judgement I bought advanced warfare. Surprisingly I am enjoying the multiplayer. Is it leaps and bounds better than some other franchises? No. But it is a nice blend of the old call of duty with some elements of Titanfall thrown in. The exo movements shake things up a bit and make a the game a lot more interesting. At least for old timers like me.

Most surprisingly is the fact that I seem to be somewhat decent at the game, which is a shock considering that in the last few years I have basically turned into fodder for the younger, quicker guys in multiplayer shooters. But K ratio does not lie - I'm consistently about 1.5:1.

As for the graphics - they are not earth shattering. But the only people calling them "bad" are people who probably never lived through the pixelated shroud of the 80's and 90's.

Total Biscuit seems more impressed with AW than past CoD games. I'm not going to buy it, but seems like Sledgehammer made more of an effort than Infinity Ward did with Ghosts.

I like it, Ghosts hod no one playing it and BO2 was getting long in the tooth. Some of the maps are harder on my rig than others. I stutter like crazy on them. Might have to start thinking of an upgrade.

You can run it at 4k with a GTX 760 maxed out. I read the Guru3D review. I'm wondering if they will ever update their engine or let the franchise die with the COD4 engine they use now.

Haven't played every mode, but aside from some of the UAV's - the answer seems to be no.

I played COD up until MW1, which was a pretty good game. I actually liked COD1 the most, played more like quake and was really fast paced. The newer ones feel so sluggish.

The thing that is wacky about COD is that hundreds of millions of dollars are poured on top of the game every year and its the biggest release save for GTAs, but it never blows anyone away. I'd love to see them rebuild the engine from the group up and give us something new. COD needs stuff like destruction and better physics.
