COD:World at War - Weapon set-up

I just started playing the game online and was running through some weapons..

From what I have read the mp40 is like the popular weapon. i just unlocked it.

what seems to be some of the more popular setups that people are using for different game types and what now.

right now i use the semi-auto rifle... its the first one u unlock... the gewehr i think

Dual magazines
Deep impact
Stopping Power

That is what I currently use most of the time. Until you unlock the dual magazines- use the black dot site.

MP40
Aperture Sight
Deep Impact
Juggernaut

I pretty much play Normal Team Deathmatch.

My primary setup is

STG44
flash hider/silencer
Bazooka
Stopping Power
Second Chance

Secondary setup is a copy of the first except it uses the STG44 w/scope
Setup #3 is same as the first except it has Bandolier instead of the bazooka.

Setup 1 is for tank maps
Setup 2 is for long range/sniper maps
Setup 3 for other maps

I have a trenchgun setup with Juggernaut, but I hate Juggernaut and hate playing against people who use it =X

I use MG42 with stand and double fire rate....... if you cant aim the guy is still going to go down...... run out of ammo fast but fast deaths anyways

I try to use other weapons and expand my horizon. It's just frustrating though. After getting killed 4 times into a match I go to my trusty combo:

MP40
2x Frag
Juggernaut
Steady Aim

Usually calling dogs about 30 seconds after.

i guess u just hip fire then? how accurate is the gun hip firiing with that combo? i not high enough to try it

steady aim is a life saver in my eyes it really controls the recoil of the gun.

On Dome and Asylum:

Doublebarrel Shotgun
Stopping power
Martyr
Sticky grenades

i use the same as a lot of these other guys

mp40 or type100 with double mag and juggernaut sometimes double tap - I do use the other guns a lot tho to try and complete the challenges to level faster, but whenever I am getting owned I switch to my trusted classes

I almost always use second chance as whenever I'm playing its with RL friends and we all roll with second chance

im lvl 14 other is like lvl7 and lvl33. none of us are really good at the game. but we are just having fun. uwe play coop, zombie, and deathmatch. mixed it up a little all night.. we start at 8pm eastern and go till like 10:30. if your interested just let us know.

How does the prestige work?
first time through the game...

i worked to unlock every gun and every attachment for every gun.
I dont want to lose it all... so how can i prevent the prestige from continuing?
Or is it absolutely impossible to stop the reset from happening.

I wish I had know this before I attempted to get 150 kills with every gun, forsaking better guns for unlocking pieces of useless ones.

you don't have to prestige. It is optional. I read up on it and will not be hitting the reset button just to do it all over again.

i take it none of you play HC?

i cannot force myself to play regular core modes. using 5+ bullets on each guy just isn't cool.

thats cool. more players the merry. as long as you dont mind us not being so great. we just look to have a good time. just make sure u have a mic. i talk a lot.

maybe ill start a cod thread for gameplay every wed. maybe ill post it later

I play HC when I am by myself, but its a bit too slow for my friends I play with...

I really enjoy HC with camo, it really makes it a lot more tactical instead of the MP40 spray n pray fest of regular TDM
