i have to say they have really f*cked the loyal members of the site and this has been disastrous after building all the hype. i feel for the people that have been there from the early days just for them to get screwed. this has been handled as one of the worst beta rollouts i have seen, hell even EA gets it better. talk about saying one thing and doing another...DAMN!!!

Don't get too fed up yet, what has been given out so far was only meant to be the early phase. I agree though that they should have given those tokens to the highest ranked or most active members of the community and let the average joes in on Monday, but it was their decision.

If they botch the thing come Monday feel free to flame them all you'd like.

Okay, get fed up, but to be honest, there isn't any way of doing this that will make everyone happy unless they just post it on XBL for public download. I'm not sure if they don't do that for logistics reasons or because they don't want that much exposure yet.

i guess they could have kept the amount of bullsh*t to an understandable amount if they did what they said they were going to do, but that is my issue. i have been a member over there for early july, so i wasn't expecting a token the first hours, but after reading that people that are not in the us, not of age and are not even members gets me pissed. i just don't see them giving back the loyalty that many, many of their member did to them.

I find the false sense of entitlement held by "veteran" (a few more months than everyone else) members of charlieoscardelta.com to be annoying, if not altogether disturbing. I understand the first come first serve and loyalty mentalities, as these people have been interested in COD4 since the beginning (of the fan site?), but seriously chill out. It's not like you developed the game, and I don't think participating in polls, surveys and forums (have you read any of the COD forum topics?) necessarily qualifies you as more worthy than anyone else interested in playing the beta. Hell, what about people who have been playing COD since the first game? By the veteran COD.com logic, shouldn't they be the first in line?

Honestly, I think just about anyone who wants to participate in the Beta is going to end up getting an opportunity. I could be (and probably am) wrong, but I think people need to chill, and maybe try to get out more.

I dunno, a lot of the community seems to be continuing to get Beta invitations. Granted some "n00bs" are included as well, but I think that is only fair. I understand where you're coming from, though.

You still have a shot on Monday (although you very well may get on before then in your email. COD.com is going to get hammered though and there's going to be a lot more unhappy people after that.

at this point, after not getting a code over the weekend and doing everything they said, i will wait an rent it at blockbuster. they kind of killed it for me. i am looking forward to Frontlines: Fuel of War, now that looks like something that will kick ass - like growing on the bf2 setup, which for me is the ideal setup and since kaos studios (formerly trauma studios) is making it, then that is what it should be.
