Probably the safest coffee shop in the country now...
I wish we could bring everyone toward a middle ground where police are neither completely vilified nor beatified.
I don't like instances such as this, where the assumption is that police officers are all bad... but I also despise the apologists who act as if police officers are saints and pretend Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization. It's more than "a few bad apples," but you're not going to convince the police to reform by denying them coffee.
There are bad apples of course, but if something happened to the shop, would they call BLM for help or police?

Not only that, but shunning the police may just provide an option for a different gang of thugs to offer protection lol....Who is funded by the shop's tax money to do a specific job?
I don't like this at all.
I'm no fan of incompetent police work to be sure, and I'm not a right winger. But maybe they'd prefer to open the shop in a place where the police really is the enemy? Where shakedowns, kidnappings, murders etc are facilitated by law enforcement? Most police officers in the US put their lives on the line to protect us every day.
If they had said "no ICE" I could at least understand it better.
Am I to understand that people who advocate for the right of private businesses to discriminate against certain customers they don't like are incensed that other businesses with different beliefs would dare to discriminate against other categories of customers?
I am shocked, shocked I say, at this completely unforeseen turn of events.
Why? Is there probable cause? Do you just want them to stop by so they can check everyone's papers?ICE needs to pay them a visit.

So you don't mind if the government harasses people for no good reason?Sounds good.
So you don't mind if the government harasses people for no good reason?
So they have no probable cause to investigate, but you still want the government to investigate as a form of intimidation and harassment. Disgusting.I don't mind if our laws are enforced. If they check and everything is fine, then its fine.

How would you feel if you're just randomly stopped for no reason as you're going about your day, minding your own business? If you think thats harassment, that's your opinion.
