I'm sure I paid more too. Oh well. I've been getting lazy and using a drill to power it

I cannot think of the brand name. I want to say I saw a commercial for the brand. It featured the most beaten coffee bean pickers on the planet. Mmm, good coffee.

I'm not sure I have only one favorite, buy my go to is Trader Joe's medium roast. The tin says "exceptionally smooth" and it is.

This is what I've got as well. With a weekly 'brushing out' it's been pretty good. I thought about buying some of that retail cleaner stuff for it but never did. Does it actually work?
I never used any cleaners on it. The plastic parts get washed with soap and water once in a while and I brush it out each time I use it since that's quite easy to do.

Yea - same deal as me. I think I've actually washed the plastic pieces once or twice in the ~1.5 years I've had it. I should brush mine out after every use because I use a finer grind when grinding for my espresso machine and coarse for the pour over. It's crazy how much actually gets left up in the grinding area. I'm beginning to think those cleaners are a damn scam.

I buy this from Costco. Once in a while I'll switch up and buy something different but I always come back to this. It's cheap medium roast and works well with my automatic espresso machine. Some of the darker roasts have too much oil and screws up my machine.

Im happy with Coffee Bean Direct ... though I think the best I've ever had without doubt is Jamaican blue mountain coffee.

just run 1 cup of rice (uncooked) through it couple of times. and it will clean it just fine.

i clean mine with rice about every 3 months or so.

Pro tip. if some asshat (like my wife ) grinds flavored coffee in your grinder. using rice will get rid of the of the off flavors.

I usually buy Eight O' Clock form the grocery store, either Colombian Peaks or Central Highlands. A local farm-type grocery store sells Hogan Bros. (local to MA) and their Kenya AA is excellent.

Does anyone else like instant? I know most don't but for some reason I always have. Though I use my Keurig these days but occasionally I'll add some instant if I need a caffeine boost.
