well, she get back home with a funcky look beer called "STEEL RESERVE"
the store ower told her that was the stongest beer in US.
so my wife got me a 6 pack for 5 bucks.
WTF, this thing is so......bad, I can't even finish a can.

Get a grip...There are a lot other Hotter/Sicker Deals (i.e Boones, Mad Dog, etc) but we do not indulge on these Cheers!...The 12 Step Mod

Sorry, I've see others with high %. Where I live also in CA, there are many breweries that make some great stuff. As far as Malt go with Mickey's Big Mouth!

I have had that beer many times and boy does it get you messed up!!!!!!!!

Its cheap and very potent. If you like Steel Reserve i recommend checking out other brands such at

Hurricane $5 for 3 40oz's
CAMO (This stuff is insane)
or how bout a good Old E 40oz


Hell. Ive been drinkin quality stuff as i write this message. Everyone has gotta love good old BEAST. For those who dont drink its Millwalki's best. Ive also had some good Natty Ice.

Maybe brewed in the US, however I think Belzebuth has the record for available brewed lager at 15%. Try that on for size, plus it actually tast good.

If anyone cares....OHIO passed a law in October that allowes beer or wine sales to total 15% in alcohol content. There us a new beer I just tried that was 9.6%. Pretty good if you like the taste of dark hard beers. Check it out if you live in O.H.I.O.

Oh man, Steel Reserve. That brings back some memories (or lack of). I ran into this stuff while in college. Cheap and potent. Not for the faint of heart. The perfect drink for 'Keepin it real'. It wasn't horrible for a malt liquor (beats OE and Bull Ice-Bull Ice is a whole different story, yikes), but not something I would drink on a regular basis. I know why they call it Steel Reserve. You need to steel yourself up to drink it and hope your body has enough reserve to keep it down. By the way, doesn't it say something like aged for 7 or 11 years or something to that effect on the can? Made me laugh whatever it said. I think they tried to make it sound classy. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

I got a Beagle puppy in early January and we named her Amber Bock, but called her Amber. Unfortunately, the dog bit everyone in the family (7 months old when we got her) and even drew blood on me a few days ago, so we took her back to the pound. she was a cute dog, but she apparently didn't like crate training and started becoming aggressive and destructive. Since I live in an apartment, we couldn't keep her outside and HAD to crate train her. After a month of trying to work with her, she was still jumping up on our dining room table and even started jumping up to knock food out of my kid's hands so she could eat it. with my kids at 5, 4 and 2, and a baby due in July, I just couldn't wait and hope she would calm down, especially after she bit me on the hand and drew blood when i was trying to get her for knocking my son's cereal bowl out of his hands onto the floor. But, that really isn't related to this topic, and I guess the OP wasn't really mentioning a Hot Deal, either. Oh well, I digress.....

8.1% beer is not the strongest that can be found. Dogfish head makes a beer called Worldwide Stout which is 18%, and I have a half-dozen different beers in my fridge right now that are >9%

However, yes, IMO stronger beer is far more economical, it would take a case of some bud or coors pisswater to get me even moderately buzzed, whereas 3 Westmalle Tripels will have me half in the bag.

I can't read this and not chime in with my recommendation: Haffenreffer Private Stock. Maybe not quite as strong as some of the others mentioned here, but it's tasty, it comes with a puzzle inside every cap, and there's something in it that will make even the quietest person turn absolutely evil after 3 bottles. Needless to say, my buddy and I used to drink a 6 pack of this apiece in college and then rain down the havoc. Good times.

I would have to say that steel reserve is the worst tasting alcohol I've ever had in my life. If you wanted to go that low you might as well drink a 40 of old english 800. Although I did drink a 40 or 2 back in the day

When I got stationed in Okinawa my roommates took me out to town to the bars. Well I didn't know they served bud. I asked them what to drink over there. Well my roommate told me to get Red Horse. Man I am telling you that if that bottle had legs it could have done hurdles. :Q I spent thirty days at home before going over there and I partied with my friends every night. I could downright handle some drinking. Well 6 Red Horse was all I could handle I was trashed.

The funniest part is right after I ordered and recieved my first beer. My roommate goes behind me and orders a bud. I'm like I didn't know they sold bud here.

I don't know what the percentage was but it was certainly powerful stuff.
