AT&T was the best for me... The i495 was the best since I dont go over 100 hours a month anyway....
the connections were solid too... never any busy tones... *sigh*...

Anyone know where I can get a good cheap internet service?

I'm tempted by bluelight 8.95 a month for unlimited... any comments on this?

I used to be with the i495 plan, but moved over to AccessCheap for $4.50/month with no setup fee. You have a choice of 1 of 3 networks: two have unlimited hours and one has 200 hours max. The service is bare bones, but the connections are great! I'm happy so far -- no banner ads.

I signed up for CheapAccess last weekend and so far its been pretty good. Almost always connect the first time and rarely gets disconnected. Much better than the ATT i495 connections.

The biggest one for under $10 is the new Netzero/Juno company. Its only $9.95 for unlimited.
Better than $24(or $25?) for AOL or $22 for MSN

Everyone raise their isp fee, I am glad I am still paying $39.95/mo for Pacbell DSL, I coundn't find any better deal even I would like to switch to somewhere else long time ago.

Nope, never heard of it. I just use this moniker here at AT because there's always some flaming going on and I don't wanna be rude when I put my $0.02 in.

I used them a couple of years back, and was satisfied with the ISP, however, when I cancelled, I was suddenly hit with another year's charge. I can't remember their claim, but they said they had changed the contract after we had signed up, and we never received a notice of the change, but it was something along the lines of having to give a certain amount of advanced notice to cancel.
It took about 20 phone calls to differenet people up the ladder before I was given a reprieve of another year's fee.

I'm currently using the AT&T 4.95 plan, so I will be checking out these other cheap ISPs, maybe even consider NetWorld again, but with more scrutiny.

I just got something in the mail from them saying that after my 1 year subscription with them is up, the price raises to "only" $49.95 / month.

Has anyone tried Bigzoo.net ? They charge $5.95 per month for 150 hrs of service. I have used their calling card and was pretty happy with their service ... except they provide only online support ... no way to talk to someone over phone.
