This problem started when I moved into a new apartment. My computer is not used nearly as frequently as it used to be so now it is off for several days at a time.
Normal (before moving) Scenario: Hit the power button, fans spin at full speed for a couple seconds, fans then slow down to operating speed, computer posts then boots into windows.
Current Scenario: Hit the power button, fans spin up at full speed and stay there, computer never posts, monitor light flashes as if its getting no signal.
In its current condition, the only way I'm able to get the computer to boot up is going through the process of not booting many times. After it doesn't boot, I hold the power button to turn it off then turn it on again. I usually do this about 7 or more times before it finally boots normally. Usually during this cycle, I also unplug the power from the PSU and hit the power button to clear power from the system. Eventually the computer will boot and everything is fine after that.
Any ideas what may be going on here?
Thanks,
Vyx
