I've never noticed that. Is it just for refurb stuff or anything? Does it actually work?Originally posted by: tedinde
On the flip side when you RMA somthing, if you go into RMA status, there is a link that says create FEDEX shipping label, and they pay for returns.

There's something screwy going on at newegg's refurb section right now: $8999.10 for a refurbed TNT2 card?
It makes a refurbed ATI RADEON 9700 PRO for $286.20 look like a relatively good deal.

They must of saw my post, they just lowered the TNT2 to $7999.20 and 9700pro to $254.40. Must resist...

I'd hold off making any judgements about newegg's refurb section until this is straightened out.
a defective product should be thrown away or sold for nexts to nothing! it may work but it is unstable most of the time. I had nothing but crashes and a big headace cause i thought it was my cpu, video card, my sound card, or my hd. Its not easy to detect till you test every component one by one and finally come to conclusion that it was the shoddy mobo all along. reburbish = defective, it's just reworded to make it more appealing. sometime it don't even work at all and if it works, there's something wrong with it no matter how good someone says it is; which they will find out much later because it takes awhile to see what is wrong with it. The reason for 15 days rma period too.Originally posted by: Wag
I wonder if Newegg takes returned refurbs and throw them back on the site?
The number of refurb failures seems very high- and not manufacturer tested as they claim.
I noticed that one too. I just ordered the M7NCD refurb for $31 + free shipping just a few days before the increases.Originally posted by: ScrapSilicon

whoo ..was $39 last week free ship..
That is unfortunately an uninformed and obviously inexperienced opinion; however, I've always maintained everyone is entitled to their own opinion no matter how wrong it may be.Originally posted by: RobCur
reburbish = defective
