I haven't tried it yet, but I think that you could go to www.archive.org and just jump into the past via their web archive. But if Anandtech will be doing their own RSR, then that's even better. BTW, this is my first post, so thanks to everyone who has given this lurker some really good reasons to spend money.

Newegg doesn't sell everything, most likely you will buy something from someone else at some point. They also aren't always the cheapest if you have to buy multiple items.

I like Newegg, and they have excellent prices, but they seem to be getting slightly worse lately with their selling dead products, and just now I noticed their user comment section is moderated so that nothing negative is allowed to be posted about their products.

They always did that. They just didn't start telling you until now.

Did Anand say HE was going to start one up, or just that someone is already doing it? I read that some time ago the guy that ran resellerratings said that he stopped updating in Sept, because he wasn't getting paid for it, but he also mentioned a new (replacement) site that was due in March. Anyone know if that is still the current plan, or is that now dead too?

That makes a lot of sense and may explain why there was no warning.He wouldnt want many to have access to the database of ratings if he was going to start a subscription only site somewhere else.The shut down would be a shock,then the "salvation" for many of an announcement that all has been preserved,and even improved if you just pay...

bizrate charges vendors to be in their database so it is not real, another words. you don't pay -- you're not a real buisness with is completely unfair.
