5 turnovers decimated the Noles. I would never think a Noles team that ran up 528 yards of total offense would lose by 39.

Hell, if the Buckeyes can keep up with the momentum going into the second half with a nice enough lead (2 or 3 TD's), I'd say they've got a good chance.

The Ducks just kill other teams with their no huddle GOGOGOGOGOGOGO offense...which is a bit surprising as they've been doing it (successfully) for a number of years now, and no one's seem to have caught on.

The key difference this year is Mariota. He is the most "pass first" Oregon quarterback since Harrington. This key of quick calls, a fairly strong middle run game, and a dual threat quarterback is awesome to watch. Tough to defend when they can come out you any of 3 or 4 different ways.

Sad to see the lack of sportsmanship on a lot of the Florida players parts...

Jameis went up a few notches in my book though for going out to shake with Marcus.

EDIT: Should probably mention that I am a HUGE duck fan. Born and raised in Oregon...

OSU's defense can't handle O's uptempo offense (don't think any team that made it this far could).

O will take full advantage of OSU's defensive struggles & each one will be exploited. That's just what they do to teams.

And how about O's defense stepping up 3 notches above what most predicted? Damn impressive. Surprisingly though, I don't think it'll be a blowout. OSU will make some adjustments to tonight's gaps.

I think OSU has a chance with their run game and some lucky deep balls. Oregon will give up a lot of yards and attempt to make the redzone stops, but with a good run game, that is neutralized. I just think Oregon's offense will be near unstoppable.

The commentators got it right. It's easy to underestimate the speed of O's offense between plays. They said teams try to emulate it during practice, but you can't.

Yup. I read in an ESPN article (that I can't find now...) that Oregon averages 15 seconds from spot to snap. That is mind boggling. Most no huddle teams average from 20-25 seconds between spot and snap.

I can't understand why more teams (especially teams in the PAC-12) don't try this system.

Because its difficult. You have to revamp your entire conditioning program to get athletes capable of this. Also its a double edge sword against a really good defense. If you have a few quick three and out, your defense is on its knee early in the game

They were showing the time between plays counter and there were a few in the 11 second range.

On thing I did notice in the Alabama - OSU game that was stupid was the rule not allowing the snap during substitutions. There was at least one instance where Alabama was waiting for the ref to allow them to snap, due to the OSU subbing, and the play clock was continuing to run. Alabama was forced to call a time out or take a delay of game penalty. That is just completely stupid. If anything, it should be delay of game on the defense for subbing late.

The Winston 'stumble-fumble' memes have been pretty good. I particularly like the Odell Beckham one.

i saw that live and that was bad. it almost look like he did it on purpose.

I did too. It is just funny how quickly the internet jumped on it. The Lance Stephenson one is pretty good. he will forever be the guy that blew in Lebron's ear. His career and fame will never eclipse that moment.

I just do not like Jameis Winston. Don't like the guy. Nope. Not at all.

You act like this guy stole your crab legs or something!

Also, Oregon players who chanted "no means no", in reference to Winston, after winning will be disciplined.

What i've seen with the Ducks, and what is so dangerous and has to be respected, is how quick they can get on a run.

Game can be close, close, close, bam, Ducks up by 20. Like a lightning strike. The noles game was due to the turnovers, but the Ducks nonetheless pounced, and they've done this all season long, just vicious in how they can exploit any weakness/opening from an opponent into game over within a quarter or less.

I thought the two best teams won, and the two best teams are playing for the title. Love that in the first playoff that a #4 seed is going to the NC game.

NC is going to be all about turnovers IMO.

I liked him yesterday....

On the bright side, maybe this will be a learning lesson and he'll grow up.

I sure hope so, because it looked like at one point the coach told him "if you don't calm the fuck down, I'm going to bench you."

I actually don't think he is that bad of a football player. He is inconsistent, but with some work he could be decent in the NFL. He is just a moron off the field (which the NFL seems to care little about until recently) and that is going to really hurt him.

Video taken from the field as Oregon celebrated its 59-20 win in the College Football Playoff semifinal showed at least three players chanting "No means no!" to the tune of a chant used by Florida State fans. The short video, uploaded to Vine by Bear Heiser of Fox Sports West, quickly drew strong reactions on social networks.
Ouch.

It's just one of those things that they made 'easier' in CFB vs NFL, like only one foot down in bound for a catch or clock stopping after a first down. If the ref told them to wait, that means the offense substituted as well, and the rule is to give the defense time to also substitute.

Yep 6 teams is the right recipe. 2 bye, other 4 play extra game.

congrats on the win, what a great game.

there aren't enough inter-conference games to give out byes to the top teams. you can do it in the NFL because each team plays more than half the teams in its own conference each year.
