Yeah, I know...without football scholarships lots of people wouldn't be able to go to college...:roll: BUT, college should be about edumakation, not muscles...(or about the muscle between your ears)
I'm NOT anti-sports...but IMO, college sports programs are a huge waste of $$$.
I'm not sure your facts are entirely straight. I'm by no means an authority on who most (or even many) schools do it, but I know that Penn State, for example, has a clear division between academics and athletics financially. Penn State University is a separate financial entity from Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. Money can not be exchanged, i.e. tuition/grants do not go to sports, and football ticket sales do not go to academics.
