hahah .. that's a good one. Or if she is a truly awesome girl, she will alternate with you and give you a piggy back.

Does she care if he can drive her around or not? If she does, I personally wouldn't waste my time. But if he wants to go for it anyways, borrow a car. Otherwise, use her car (it's ok, the guy doesn't always have to drive), walk, or just stay in.

If she has a skirt on that shows nothing but her panties. I do not suggest this course of action.

We have a winner. If she thinks this is BS and demands a car ride (or isn't happy about having to walk 20 minutes) then she is probably too concerned with material things.

BTW, on a somewhat related note, I'm going to Cornell next year and the walk from the freshman dorms on north campus to the engineering quad is like 15-20 minutes...haha, doh!

If you can come up with 20 minutes of conversation, I would personally walk.

Else borrow a car.

Those are the only two feasible options I can think of. I'd prefer the former, if I had more things to say. If you're an interesting fella, that may work better.

EDIT: Wow, I'm late. How did I even see this thread? So, what was the final decision?

Pfft. Only if you walk like an old woman. Took me a little less than 10 last year.

is it generally acceptable to just walk there, or do i have to borrow a friends car, or just meet her there or something?

Funny that you would say that. I was about to say the same thing =D

I would personally walk. If she demands a ride, I'd forget about the whole deal. That means that she already has a standard for going out on a date, and you don't really want that. You want someone who's easy going and dosn't mind taking the route less taken. Who knows, maybe she wants to walk. 20 mintues can be forever if you guys have nothing in common.

It depends on where you are gonig:

If you are going to go eat then walking is not acceptable.
If you are going there to get hammered, then driving should be left to a cabbie.

Basically, just make sure she can make it back to your dorm room.

Heh, maybe I'm wrong. That's just what I was told by some people...I didn't exactly clock myself when I was visiting.
