Just wanted to get a general idea on recent college graduates and your plans for after. I graduated this past weekend with a BS in Computer Engineering from Michigan Tech University. It was a decent curriculum, easy at times, hard at times, but I finished with honors without too much difficulty. College sure went be awfully quick though. I am going to work as a Software Engineer. I start very soon so I have to get everything together and move! Crazy.
I'm thinking about working for about a year or so, then look into graduate school. My plan would be to take 1 or 2 classes per semester while still working full time. I'm not sure if I want a MS in EE, CS, or CompE. My employer will do tuition reimbursement, and even if I don't end up staying with them, seems that most of the companies I interviewed with do the same.
I interviewed towards the end of last year so the market wasn't like it is now, but still it seemed like companies of all sizes were always looking out for new hires. At least for engineering majors, seems like there is a lot of jobs out there, and salaries are good to excellent. And in spite of all of the outsourcing, there seemed to be a lot of software positions still.
Now, your turn.
