I can almost guarantee that the eventual calvinball ruling will either be 6-3 or 5-4 (with Roberts siding with the legit justices).
Almost guarantee... LOL

There's nothing unusual about the timeline, not for this kind of case. Numerous other Trump related matters have gotten to SCOTUS this fast.
And it's good. Yea or nay, this needs to be resolved ASAP.
You are a sensible person, one professionally suited to comment on such matters as this. I, on the other hand, am a madman. I feel that if at the time of our countries founding the lifespan resembled what it does today, they would never have permitted a 35 year old idiot to run for the President of this country, they would have set it at 50 or 60 would be my guestimation. In the compressed lifetimes of those days I can't imagine they would have considered the pace of the modern day court as nothing other than justices delayed is justice denied. Furthermore, I believe that the average common sense of people in that era, in my opinion, magnitudes beyond what we see today, would have long ago led to Trump having been summarily executed for treason. There's nothing unusual about the timeline, not for this kind of case. I know how it is. I agree, but the issue is that they were angry before coming on the internet. We get to see that anger on display and its purpose is to hurt. What people fail to realize, because they fear looking within, is that the will to hurt is the result of hurt that happened to them as children. If you feel anger then you know the pain of being hurt. And so when we hate others we are a part of the same game. We hurt others. Ignorance is being proud of that. To heal requires we forgive ourselves for our hate because unconsciously we hate ourselves for hating. That is what self hate is, hatred of the horrible little things the hatred of others told us we were, and we will never get even for what happened in the past. It happened and that's that. To forgive starts with that recognition. There is nothing else we can do. Time to cry for the child hidden deeply within and take its hand as best we can. Most people that display anger in social media do it because it's anonymous. They get to give others hell without any possibility of repercussions. It's the very definition of internet tough guy. I find it more sad than annoying.

Do you think someone who attempted a coup should be disqualified?Almost guarantee... LOL
Bwahahaha2 justices need to recuse.
Thomas because his wife was involved in the insurrection.
Kavanaugh because Trumps lawyer publicly demanded a quid pro quo for getting him on the bench
No. He thinks someone that attempted a coup should get a 2nd chance to get it right and succeed at a coup.Do you think someone who attempted a coup should be disqualified?
No guns involved yet.It was a peaceful protest. No guns involved.
SCOTUS hearing complete. From parts I heard during both defense and government, justices didn’t show their hand. KBJ even brought up the president isn’t explicitly listed as an officer. So why should we interpret it that the founding fathers?
The orange monkey even made statement from elsewhere not in DC. It was a peaceful protest. No guns involved.
After reading the questions that the Justices asked it seems that they are leaning on ruling that the 14th Amendment is poorly worded and would cause a lot of work for them to straighten out so they are just going to ignore it and rule in favor of Trump so as to not having to hear a bunch more cases on it.
People want a way to get rid of him. This ain't it. Trump is going to make it through this one unscathed.
This is a political question, not a legal one. It’s entirely obvious that the 14th amendment was written to disqualify people like Trump, it’s just that our institutions lack the backbone to enforce the plain meaning of the law.People want a way to get rid of him. Don't believe your lying eyes. Words only have their plain and obvious meaning when SCOTUS wants them to have them, otherwise they mean bupkiss. This is a political question, not a legal one. They read the clear textual meaning unless that leads to a result they dislike.Don't believe your lying eyes. Words only have their plain and obvious meaning when SCOTUS wants them to have them, otherwise they mean bupkiss.
Just like the the other argument some were trying to advance: he's somehow not an officer when President, despite occupying an office of the United States and taking an oath, because he isn't on this semi arbitrary list on this 150 year old paper, nevermind that such logic would mean that Jefferson Davis could have run for president then. They read the clear textual meaning unless that leads to a result they dislike.
I don't disagree with you. There are 3 conditions that need to be met for him to be removed from a ballot. 1) Insurrection, 2) 14th applies to him, and 3) Supremes agree Trump did 1 and 2. If today's conversation is any indication, condition 3 is not going to be met.The 14th isn't unclear. He engaged in a coup, he led it from the top down, hundreds of people across the country assisted. IMO, this will set the stage for the next one if the SCOTUS doesn't admit what objective reality shows. He may very well get out of it unscathed, I agree, it really will just mean we're one step closer to the demise of U.S.A.
