I'm looking to build a new pc and I found this one. It's pretty cheap and I think it is worth it. Did someone tried this already?

A 1250w Platinum power supply, when converted to U.S. currency, it's roughly $38?

It has to be nothing but pure junk, otherwise there's no way they could sell it for that amount.

It's previously owned so I think that's why they selling at that price.
I also found it on 80Plus website

It's your components, but I would never trust a brand I've never heard of, which has no reviews, and is being sold for $38. A true "platinum rated, 1250w" unit should not sell for that low of a price. Even entry-level refurbished EVGA B-stock units don't sell for that low of an amount.

That saying of "If it's too good to be true, it usually is" rings true here.

Okay then, thank you for your opinion.

Actually bought 2 of these, they are Ex mining PSUs and they ARE 80 plus Platinum Certified 1250w units & the 80plus report shows over 90% efficiency pretty much from 10% load through to 100% (meaning they tested them at their rated 1250watts)

They dont have the neatest wiring, but the Soldering on the 2 units i have are good. They are using Taiwanese Caps.

The worst part of the design is the SEVEN Molex/Sata cable bundles are 1 molex/1Sata... again made for mining using PCIE breakout boards.

It has 12 PCIE 8 pins, cabled as 6x2... if course being a mining PSU thats to be expected.

Im guessing these have been ran hard for a couple of years solid with 6 or more high end graphics cards attached in big industrial level cryptocurrency farms. That alone is testament to them not being "Junk"

They are best described as Industrial grade, rough around the edges and certainly not "pretty" .. but they DO do the job, and with high efficiency.

The reason for their existence is mining, thats also why they arent modular. Modular connections are less efficient by a percent or so . These are built for max efficiency at minimum price because when your mining, efficiency = profitability (and for Net Cafe use that also applies, efficiency = profit)

Now compaired to my 2 High end Corsairs HX850 & HX1000I, they are certainly not as easy to cable manage or as pretty.. but thus far they run cool and quiet and *in spec* for my gaming cafe machines.

Definitely not junk... just specifically built for industrial grade cryptocurrency mining.. pros and cons? IMHO safer thay cheap versions of commercial brands like Coolermaster and EVGA that look pretty but often have inferior designs.

Colorful *is* a major Brand in China.. these come from the same factory as Segotep, which have a solid reputation in Asia.

I've bought one and it is pretty dusty. It is probably a second hand unit. The wires are so many they are hard to fit in the case. I'm not sure if it's industrial grade because I am using Xeon E5 2650 v2(industrial grade CPU) and an unbranded X79G motherboard, and my computer crashes at random times. I know my unit is well below 250W but still it crashes with a PSU of a supposedly high caliber. Anyway, I knew from the start it really was too good to be true, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try.
