Umm.....it doesn't matter cause taping the game and putting it on Youtube without the NFL's consent is against the law. Having said that, I'll check the copy of the game I have on my computer when I get home and listen to the play. It should be easy to find since it's the first play of the 4th quarter.

1. I'm a Colts fan
2. Calls like this happen all the time, every week. Missed calls or mystery calls that affect the outcome. It's like injuries: they happen, it sucks, but it's a part of the game.
3. The one on Hobbes was probably complete BS.
4. (assuming you're a Pats* fan) Your team still won, enjoy it.

I love the double standard. If someone else complains, everybody sympathizes. If the Pats file any complaint whatsoever, it's somehow bad. All the Patriots asked the league to do was investigate something the Colts had been accused of doing in previous games. How is that being a "sore" winner?

pats FANS

Go read the comments section of the article on this subject on ESPN...my god they are whiney. Despite the article being about the Colts being INNOCENT of this offense, they whine that the Colts are cheaters too because of it...god I hate Pats fans.

""That's the end of that story," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said."

Right from the horses mouth. Nothing wrong here. No cheating. No nothing. It was a production problem (and that's EXACTLY what it sounded like). This article also names the NFL and CBS sources.

I guess you missed my post above yours?

IT WAS NOT TRUE.

they were not cheating it was a ""It was the result of tape feedback in the CBS production truck," the network's LeslieAnne Wade said. "In no way was it from the stadium."

So you're telling me they play the cheer of the audience over the loudspeakers are football games?

Pretty stupid claim IMHO. If they were gonna do it, they would just amplify the existing crowd noise (which is what they were accused of doing during the Colts-Steelers AFC championship game a few years back)

That's pretty retarded. Regardless, I don't think that it was some cd skipping, probably the audio taken from the sound inside of the stadium had some type of glitch.

Yeah.....the glitch was they had the gain turned up too much on their mics and the speakers started that feedback as they fed the crowd noise through their amps and speaker system and back into the dome.

The audio you hear of the teams, signal calling and such, is all taken by shotgun mics......easily seen being carried around by all those guys on the sidelines holding those big, plastic dish things. Those mics are very directional and the plastic dishes are to prevent crowd noise from overpowering the sounds of the teams, the signal calling, the hits.

Crowd noise is usually incidental. But to get such feedback, there had to be open omnidirectional mics around, trying to capture the crowd noise......and pipe it back through the stadium speakers.

I love how the majority of people automatically assume it's true just because they read a news story about it.

What if CBS was the one pumping fake crowd noise to the TV audience to make the game seem more intense? That seems much more likely to me.

wait, so the stutter in the audio wasn't in the stadium, was never heard in the stadium, and the pats, who were in the stadium and therefore never heard it, went home and watched their dvrs and filed a complaint about an audio stutter that they never heard at the actual game?

I bet they also misuse commas like I do!

From what I understand, Robert Kraft was the one to complain...he was probably in a luxury box of sorts, and I would assume there was a TV feed in there with the audio.

I didn't really read more than the first line of any of the articles though, so that could be off base.

if it was true you would be hearing about it on the news. i watched the game and nobody heard it.

It was not on the guy's DVR, since I was watching the game and heard the same thing.
