Even if that were true, which I think the state of AZ might strongly disagree, what does that really mean? It's fine to advocate for fewer undocumented immigrants being able to enter the country successfully. Doing so under the premise that undocumented immigrants are inherently dangerous criminals is not fine, however.

Now, there is some argument in potential secondary prevention benefit of border security in keeping known dangerous people from coming back. However, I would only consider that benefit within context of its impact on a much larger group of people.

I don't care if Arizona disagrees with the facts. That's their problem, not mine. As for why we might care otherwise that would involve looking at the holistic effects of that population of immigrants and comparing it to the benefit, not simply looking at crime rates. I mean that's just common sense. This thread just happened to be about crime and so that aspect was particularly relevant.

When telling someone they just said the dumbest thing ever you should probably make sure you haven't just said something extremely stupid yourself. lol.

If illegals aren't committing crimes at a higher rate than citizens, then crime is simply not relevant to the question of illegal immigration. The same arguments could be made for keeping out legal immigrants. Newsflash, all of the following groups of people contain members who commit crimes: illegal immigrants, legal immigrants, citizens, white people, brown people, Christians, Muslims, Jews, tennis players, police, doctors, lawyers, and Indian chiefs.

Yet Trump keeps touting individual crimes to prove his point about illegal immigrants. The real question conservatives should be asking is, why?

Show me one that was as news worthy, was there an example in the news lately? Had a Polish illegal immigrant ran over an NFL player, I would have happily posted about it. But that isn't what happened, this guy happened to be from Honduras. This isn't about race, this is about someone that shouldn't have been here to cause this carnage in the first place.

From what I learned, the number is slightly lower (generally). About 81% of those fatalities are of the unlicensed person or their passenger. I wouldn't be surprised that the group is largely represented by undocumented immigrants, as those people are disinclined or unable to actually get a license, nor would I be surprised at lower seat belt usage and less access to vehicles with high safety profile.

As far as demonstrating that undocumented immigrants kill more people on the road then the general population, controlling for miles driven, demographic contributors like age and sex, etc., good luck. Merely quantifying the amount of illegal immigrant drivers would be hard enough, much less estimating with enough accuracy to not render comparisons statistically insignificant.

Sorry the killer in this case had a skin tone you wish he didn't have.
