ok put in another order since my second one seems to be cancelled. is it two per address? there are tons of people in my house so we would be limited to two per house? would it be better to tell them we live in a rooming house with separate rooms? technically thats how it works since we pay the landlord by room... thanks again guys

the charge was put on my CC as a authorization pending on 11/15 and it is now 11/18 and it is STILL pending authorization at my CC. Does anybody know why that's the case? Is it normal?

Guys, Gals and my fellow Deal Engineers,

Here's some info for those of you who want to make the most of this deal.

I just completed my collection y'day night. All the 10 orders have been processed and charged. It took a little more than 1 month, 4 different accounts and about 25 calls to CH to get this done. When I started with this deal I listed out the DVD's that I felt were the best. I narrowed down the list by looking at AT, FW and DVDTALK seeing what most guys ordered and also doing a bit of research on the web on the most popular DVD's.

Here are the accounts I created.

Address1: Accnt 1, Accnt 2, Accnt3, Accnt4.
Address2: Accnt 5, Accnt6, Accnt 7
Address3: Accnt 8, Accnt 9.
Address4: Accnt 10.

On an average it took 10 days for the DVD's to be delivered from the time I ordered. Ofcourse, some orders had to be re-ordered and re-re-ordered. I generally call up within 3-4 days if I have not seen the charges appearing on the card. I dont give any PSN either. But just ensured I dont have > 2 accounts open for a single address at any time. I initailly called the sign up line but later called the 1800.262.2001 number. It does not make any difference provided you are
proactive and follow up.

The only flaw in this entire process was that Accnt 10 and Accnt 5 are duplicates. But I dont have any problem with handling duplicates. Can either return them back or exchange it for titles not available through CH. Duplicates are always better than nothing !

So a month and about $230 later, I have 30 (3 duplicates) DVD's that cost > $600.

Man, you are pretty good. I bet you get your way a LOT! Hmm, what is "Desh"? Not Bangladesh? Well, enjoy yourself.

I've been trying a few things but have yet to get a 2nd charge on a CC. Last order I did (Saturday) was from a different phone, on a different CC and to a different address. Still not charged. Only thing the same was my name. Gonna keep trying, though.

Ok, just to feed more information to this, I placed a replacement order (my 2nd order never went through, after 3 weeks of waiting, so I called and ordered different DVDs) on November 18th, and this morning (the 21st) I see charges on my CC. I used the same address, different CC, different phone number. I advise you all to just keep at it. If it doesn't show up in a week or two, you might want to order a different set of DVDs, just in case the first one eventually goes through. This is one heck of a deal, so get it while it lasts Hope this information was helpful!

got my 2nd order in today. It is all good except I ordered the full screen verions of MUMMY2 instead of the WS version. Called them up and they are sending me a mailing label and the WS version right away. Nice service I have to say. However, not nice enuf for me to keep the membership. I am gonna cancel it and reorder to a new addy once I get my replacement.

I did procrastinate on this one. Like Desibaba the Great said, "you snooze you lose..." :Q It was maybe 10 days or 2 weeks before I got into it. Only got one order approved and made 4 orders. 1st order 10/31, and came through fast, 2nd on 11/2, never happened. Called 2 weeks later and reordered on different credit card. One of my CC's was charged, showing last Monday, so one of my subsequent orders has cleared, not sure which. I figured from the start they might pull the plug on this at any time and tried to prioritize! It would be cool if SOMEONE would call them again and confirm that they've discontinued this code... There was one order I made that had me confused afterward. I was never asked for a code, IIRC. I decided to let it go (not call back), figuring that if I was shipped, I could call them up and get the code straight and come out ahead. It was already getting really tough to get approved.

You don't ask if it's over, you tell them your code. You might want to do one of the other Col*House offers. The one I saw at their website looked pretty good a couple weeks ago. I saw one at the back of next week's TV Guide. They're probably in there every week. You can get 9 DVD's for $10 and change each, shipped. Not as good as this deal, but not too bad. Here it's 5 at .49 + shipping, get the 6th at 14.99 + shipping, order 3 more at regular price (19.95 minimum), 2 years to choose. Then you can cancel. I've never done this, so I can't vouch for it, but it looks like you get the enrollment catalogue for the first 5, probably the whole catalogue for the other 4, over 2000 titles.

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Edit: Actually, the fun continues. I now have a bunch of movies to watch, most of which I've yet to see. Most I got elsewhere, having only gotten 3 through this deal (3 more are in the mail). This thread helped spark my interest tremendously, gave me a lot of tips, and some good ideas for candidates to buy. I've more than doubled my collection in less than a month. Thanks to everyone who posted.

Uhh, you mean you bought those DVDs based on what others thought? I don't know about you, but I base my purchases on what I like, not on what other people think.
