You need a full daily routine. Games certainly could occupy a few hours a day, but you'd need a more well rounded routine.

For the ATOT crowd, giving them a video game to play would pretty much put a halt to ANY "Daily Routine", they would likely pass Mars up by a couple million miles before they realized it!

Imagine the amount of Hot Pockets they would require, there is not a big enough spaceship for that.:biggrin:

(Never played Video Games, but I remember when I got my first computer online, I would come in from work & surf until time to get up for work the next morning! Did that a couple of time a week! I even found myself getting up ~ 1 hour earlier to surf before I went to work, and I was 45 YO at the time!)

Well, supposedly we have experienced some major breakthroughs in fusion rocketry in recent times. It seems like 30 days is the new travel time for getting to Mars...

As far as combating boredom, send introverts, and give them lots of reading material, lots of movies to watch, and lots of games to play. The trinity of content should keep them content.

They could just give them the entire GOG D&D Dynamo Pack for $21.10 and keep the busy for a couple of years at least. Supplement that with nightly Reddit uploads, and a large ebook library and I doubt anyone we would want to send to Mars would get overly bored.
