When is Comcast scheduled to increase its Download cap? I thought it was Jan 29th, but I still can only get up to 1.5

im still gonna get verizon dsl tho. its slower, but they dont block vpn.

Los Angeles was due on January 13th... i reset my modem yesterday... and it was already upgraded.

JonnyBlaze, you keep saying they block VPN. I use it all the time through Comcast. From their help FAQ:

"Can I use a VPN connection on the Comcast High-Speed Internet Service?

Yes, you can utilize a VPN connection as a residential customer on the Comcast High-Speed Internet Network."

Is it different for different areas?

I got it in Quincy, BUT for some reason I can't get the increased speed on the wireless lappy, but can get it on the desktop. I have no clue why, and it seems no one can tell me.

batti, its different for each city i guess. its spreading tho. they want you to buy an expensive business package to use vpn. which is wrong. i can understand dont support it as in no tech support, but block it just so they can charge more.

google finds tons of cases of it. some places they have been blocking it for a while. it just started where i am (brockton, mass)
