Yep. I use one, and it works fairly well. I think my only complaint is that the phone app doesn't let you play recorded videos unless you're on WiFi. I saw some silly trick on a website about how to make it work on cellular, but it seemed like a lot of hassle for something I wouldn't use too much.
Oh, and as referenced earlier, if you buy a TiVo with lifetime service, it comes with the service. Lifetime service is tied to the hardware, which raises a good point/warning, if the box dies... so goes your service. The only way to get the service carried over to a new box is if you have a warranty and the TiVo dies while under warranty. TiVo's default warranty is only 90 days, so you pretty much either get a garbage guarantee or a decent yet paid one. It's a bit duplicitous in my opinion.
