Comfy Chairs?

I have a small office that I work out of, and the chair I work in is nice, but sometimes, I just want to close my eyes and relax for a bit.

I feel like a couch or futon is too big, and a bean bag chair is too old school. Does anyone have any hip and cool ideas (links included would help!) for a chair (potentially a recliner or something like it?) that is comfy and good for quick naps?

I thought this would be another Monty Python "No-one expects the Spanish Inquisition" thread...

OK yeah, I'm thinking a budget of about $200.

Few years ago I sat in one of those Poang chairs at an Ikea and it was pretty damn comfy. Certainly sleepable if you get the footrest\ottoman thing.

Big Lots stores usually have a nice selection of comfortable recliners for a decent price.

I'm bumping this because I'm still looking. Ideally, I'm looking for something that can:

- Be delivered
- Is less than $250 or so
- Is comfy

I was looking at getting a futon, but I'm just thinking it's too much. Perhaps a small thing that can support two people? That would be nice.

Don't worry about "old school", its a work space so your only concern should be true comfort. Bean bag chairs can be extremely comfy (i've taken some amazing naps in them), so if anyone thinks its not "cool" then invite them to relax in it and they well probably see why you have one. A Papasan is another idea (as TwiceOver suggested), and I know from past experience with an ex-girlfriend, that two people can get very comfy together in a good one. Basically, don't worry about aesthetics so much, just get something that you actually are comfy in and works for you.

Oh hands down agreed. I just want something comfy that I can lay back in and nap, or lay back in and potentially read a book. That being said, a bean bag chair would be more than enough for me. I just wish I could find one online that was cheap, and could be delivered!

I think at this point I either want a Papasan or a Bean Bag Chair. I've never had either but I'm pretty sure I've sat in both at some point or another. Maybe one of each?

Don't know, what do you all prefer?

I'll second that the Poang chair is comfortable, if you're anywhere near an IKEA it would fit in about any car.

Beanbag chair is a great suggestion, if you have a "desk" option to match for ergo. I used to do that when I was in high school. Fun, comfy.

A lazyboy would be the way to go, now, if you can manage a simple piece of wood over the arms for peripherals.

I use a $15 "computer chair" I bought at IKEA at my work desk. I just prop up my pillow and use a $15 laptop cushion in bed. Having a strong core is wonderful.

i'd love to get one of these, but they really need to drop their prices. $800 for a shredded foam filled pouch? a little much, IMO
