At the end of the Scrin campaign it pretty much explains what the expansion will be.

How do you do attack move?

i.e. in starcraft, you press A then left click behind the enemies.

But in CNC3, when you click attack move icon, then left click behind enemies, my troops don't move!

a normal click is automatically an attack move to anything hostile.

If you want them to attack the first thing they see, use F then move.

Normal attack move is right click on the ground behind enemy? For me, it seemed like I had to right click each individual enemy unit.

How do you force move then? (without attacking)?

From my experience, this only applies to units that can fire while moving, i.e. tanks with turrents, vehicles, etc. Infantry seems to ignore enemy fire and just move along since they can't fire while moving.

the nod missions seem extremely hard compared to GDI.

I dn't know if its because of the weak-ass units or what.

I found the final 2 NOD missions to be really hard. The last one took me quite a few tries to even figure out what I'm supposed to do.

The key to the NOD campaign is to spam venoms. 50+ groups and everything will be easy.

well had my first crash

i was GDI playing the medium/turtle computer scrin on "unfair advantage" map.

about an hour in and the game crashed. but what a game i had. i built my ion canon first, before the scrin got their rift generator online. as i failed to move quickly enough the scrin basically covered the map, they secured the two tiberium fields in the middle and built a massive base and defenses around both. stupidly the computer built the rift generator pretty much on my front door.

i sent in the mammoths to destroy, which they did, but none of them made it back. they've weakened these tanks too much...mine seem to get wiped out pretty quick.

i thought it was all down hill for the scrin then but no....it sent in wave after wave of those cruise ship things (the big ones with the little ships that launch off it) and those destroyer ship things (the smaller ones that shoot balls of something).... those things are pretty hard to stop and make very very light work of pretty much everything, and they kept sending them in with a group of walkers.

i basically barricaded my self in and built more AA guns that you will ever see, ever. and that was it. everytime they came it looked like off the 3rd matrix movie....tracer fire everywhere. i was super low on cash and inbetween their raids i sent countless units (mamoths, zone troopers etc) down to try clear the scrin from the two tiberium fields in the middle.... i succeeded on one just enough so that my harvesters could collect tib from the top of the field without getting beat up.

it was a stale mate for a while...comp sent in the ships, i shot them down, and in between i slowly eroded their defenses. with a few carefully placed ion canon attacks it was starting to go my way then it crashed

anyway with the scrin --- those ships are too powerful, the storm column things are too powerful, one of the GDI's artillery attacks is way too weak, those scrin swarm things are entirely too potent against men...i mean they took out a group of zone troopers instantly.

online doesnt work, i even unplugged the router and had the modem directly connected to the computer and still no dice gettig online....what a joke

I beat this game in a week.

The only mission that was really difficult was the second Scrin mission. Took me about 15 tries and 3 hours to beat it. You really have to be creative in order to beat it.

I destroyed the entire GDI base with just the mastermind. Took ages, but once i sent the engineer into that building and the base was gone, THEN reenforcements showed up.... :frown: Coulda used those tripods and warships a little earlier...

DOH! If you don't mess with their main base they only send out a couple of tanks. But if you attack their base they send everything they've got! I learned that the hard way. Luckily I had saved the game several times so I just went back to a previously saved copy.

Overall it's a disappointment and frustrating. On normal difficulty it's very easy, and skirmishes vs a medium army is a joke. AI for your own troops is horrendous, they're just brain dead.

Is there any way to make a patrol route? Any kind of formations?

Yeah, protecting hostile forces is harder than simply smashing them Though I found the rest of the Nod campaign very easy. Although maybe that's just because I'm becoming more familiar with the game.

It almost certainly means a single core pentium 4 2.ghz, which is far far slower than a 1.8 core.

In Multiplayer, whats the best way to stop mass mammoth tanks when playing as NOD? Besides rushing in and preventing them, after they are built, should I just fight fire with fire with the Avatars?

i just build lots of them laser turrets...they seem to deal some decent damage, basically have them backed up with expendable rocket troops, air craft and some obliesk of lights.

the trick with the obliesk is to have about 10 of those little beam canon truck things around it. if you select them, then move your cursor over the obliesk the icon will change. the little trucks fire at the obliesk and they charge it up much quicker make it more powerful and expand its range...then they can start dealing blows to the mamoths before the mamoths are in range.

anyone else feel like the campaign for GDI is a little thin? I'm only on act 3 but the first 2 acts were like 3 short games each

The later missions take a bit more time to deal with than the intro missions like most games.

Yet another franchise EA managed to suck the life from. This game is so devoid of any strategy it hurts. The multiplayer is so bland I kill myself of boredom.

Ok guys heres how a typical multiplayer game goes.

Spam tanks.
whoever manages to build the most tanks wins.

I want my $60 back.

As soon as you beat both GDI and NOD the Scrin campaign just shows up.
