Commuting to work

I live 3 blocks from work and I'm ALWAYS at least 5 minutes early. I shoot for 30 minutes and take a longer lunch.

uh i work from 9:30am-3:30am on a daily basis, plus 7-10 hours on sat and sun... still no excuse?

i assume you are an investment banker as well? if yes, that's still good for IB. I used to work 8am - 3am during my first 2 years.

i dunno, all my friends at bulge brackets are working a lot less. a friend of mine at lehman's restructuring group sits on his ass for 60 hours a week. what bank were you at? i assume you are out now?

I'm about 30 miles away and it takes me roughly 35-40 minutes in the morning (I leave at 6:15) and anywhere from 45-60 min in the evening (I leave at 4 unless there's a bunch of high priority stuff to get done). This is around the Baltimore beltway.

I live 1 1/2 miles from work

Takes me 15-20 on the bus; 5-10 if I take a cab. I live about 2 miles from work.

If I walk it's about 35-40 minutes, though the neighborhood is not the safest so I avoid walking back home after 8:00pm.

5 miles, takes me 30 mins to bike. There are a lot of hills, which is why it takes so long.

8-10 minutes. I take the back way to work, which has less/no traffic and is actually quicker than taking the main road (by 2-4minutes)

17 minutes to get to the freeway and 3 minutes from there.
The reason why it takes so long is because of the area I live in.
I live about a mile from a high school, a middle school, 2 grade school and lots of stop
sign. Theres always traffic because of parents dropping off their kids.

At least your engine is warmed up by the time you reach the freeway.

Huh I used to Live in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho....I worked at the CD'A resort in the morning, hopped in my car and drive to Spokane, Washington to go to my second job. After 6 months of that, I moved to Post Falls (Inbetween the other two cities) so I had SCHOOL and Morning job in CD'A, and Secondary in Spokane.......After 6 mos. of that, QUIT my job in CD'A and moved to Spokane...Worked one job and went to school in CD'A....So what the hell wasI thinking?
