Radio Shack's prices are insane but most of the time they are the only one to have the item because of the high prices. If I want to order off the net I have wait 3 to 4 days and if it is a weekend could be more then a week to get that item.

Most of the time I need an item that Radio Shack has I will need it now. The last trip I took to outer banks I needed a car charger that would charge my devices. I ended up getting one that had like 10 different connectors ends. It did me no good ordering off the net when I was already on the trip.

I'll agree with Radio Shack. And there is a local small shop by my work that always makes me wonder how they stay in business. The shop sells lamp shades. That is all they sell. It's in a fancy area with lots of high-end shops. Do that many people really buy fancy lamp shades to have an entire shop dedicated to it?

I remember growing up with these. I would go into these stores, they barely had any customers in there and/or they were always ghetto looking. They also have so many alternatives you wonder why they are still available or in bussiness.

1. RadioShack
2. Ace Hardware
3. BlockBuster Video
4. Kmart (I know they purchased sears)
5. USPS

IBM.

Not quite the same idea, but when I lived in Chicago during college there were hundreds of tiny shops with names like (and I swear I'm not making this one up) "Cell Phones and Shoes"
Why would I ever go into that store? Not only does it look like a total pile of crap, I can't imagine it actually having good prices or good products. And why Cell Phones and Shoes together? I can't imagine how places like that can afford to pay the rent for the store. My only solution is that it is a front for the mob.

Best Buy, everyone hates them, their prices are high, with poor sales tactics to cheat the customer.

AT&T, the worst customer service in history spanning generations. Everyone hates them and has at least one bad story about them.

The Ace Hardware by us is nice, but soooooooooo damn overpriced.

The only Kmart I know of near me is a complete shithole. I wouldn't shop there if you paid me.

Yellow Pages I could understand, but then some places just don't have high speed internet access so it still makes sense for them.

So why give out new phone books every couple months outside of the third world or Montana? I've received dozens of phone books in the past few years and not a single one has even come in the house; straight into the recycling. There's no logic to sending phone books to every single household and business any more. It's needless waste.

Maybe the guys running the YP only use the Yellow Pages and don't know how far the internet has come? lol I dunno.

You REALLY don't know how involved IBM is in the world at large, do you? You may as well have said GE or something.

Thanks, I was about to post this same thing. The guys posting "IBM" must have no clue about what IBM is doing these days.
