If I am just buying this game from steam just for the multiplayer, then would you guys recommend I get the expansion or not?

I believe its 29.99$ for the golden edition which comes with OF.

Literally all it adds to multiplayer is the british and panzer elite. If you already have vanilla COH go online and after a few battles you will probably play against the brits or panzer elite. If their weapons appeal to you, go buy the expansion.

Personally I love CoH and the expansion for the single player, multiplayer is alright, but usually get I get arse kicked so I don't play much.

o I see.. Well The expansion is 10 dollars more so I guess it couldn't hurt.

If I like warcraft 3: TFT would you think I would like this game?

It adds the Panzer Elite and British, both of which have very different playstyles from the original armies. Expansion and non-expansion players can play together. I wouldn't even call it an expansion - it's really a standalone game. It has its own campaign and you don't need the original game to play.

Just to add to that, the expansion actually has more SP content than the original since there are two additional campaigns.

The new factions really cause you to relearn the game as they don't play anything like the US or normal Germans.

Just buy the gold edition, it's relatively cheap now.

Definetly get the gold edition for the extra money. I got vanilla CoH a few months back and just bought the OF because after playing online alot it adds a whole new dimension to the game.
