This is a decent deal. Laptop prices seem to be edging up a bit lately. This certainly isn't a hardcore gaming machine, but should be well suuited for anything else. Not sure what the battery life is on this thing though.

I've been waiting for Dell to come out with a good deal as well but for this price, it isn't that bad. They do charge tax but shipping is reasonable. I think like 20 bucks for overnight.

Here are my Pros and Cons, FWIW. I'm very tempted, but may waint since I'm not quite ready to buy, and Dell always comes out with good deals.

Pros:
AMD should perform well
Great price
DVD
S-video

Cons:
14" screen, not UXGA(I don't think)
Only touchpad, no button mouse
Review mentioned cheap feel of plastic parts
Non-ATI or Nvidia video
Video memory runs from normal ram(Ack!)
Max of 384 ram(Ack Ack!!)
