This deal seems DEAD but you can still try if the site lets you. HP has definetly caught on and is canceling orders. However, it appears that you can still order this through the HP site however it is very likely they will auto cancel your order. But you never know if you put in 100 orders or something you might get 1 or 2 (please note that it will reserve $160 per order off your CC available balance for 7 days).

So it turns out that this will turn like the HP d325 thread, and you guys who ordered will have to wait for the cancel email/status or shipping status. Good luck to all!

This is a variant off of this thread

1. Goto

2. Order normally.

$149.99 + 10.99 Shipping - $50 rebate = $110.98 + taxes

(note there are 2 rebates in the pdf bottom rebate will be invalid without the PC, also no direct links no cookie monster, top one should fly)

And it does appears at least 1 of the $50 rebates is valid without buying the computer. So you can get the monitor for $110ish ($10.99 shipping for me).

Note YMMV as rebate might not come through, but it would seam that it would. Even so $160 for a 15" flat pannel beats out CrapUSA/BB/CC etc etc.

Also it may help if you are having trouble ordering to order through the APP, or student discount area of the HP site.

DO NOT CALL HP ASKING IS THIS A PRICE MISTAKE ETC!
If it is a price mistake etc they will just cancel the orders but if you don't call then perhaps more people can get in on this deal

Heh this is my post over at FW. There is an HP CSR rep at FW who in his spare time has been answering questions about this "deal". HP definetly knows and if you can still order you have an extremely high likelyhood that the order will be canceled.

how can they legaly cancel an oder as long as you follow their terms and conditions?
Business legally have the right to refuse business to anyone for any reason. This of course can be bad business like when Africian Americans boycotted in the 60s so business do not excercise this very often. However, if they are losing money on this (which I doubt they are) they can cancel your order. As long as they don't charge your card (authorizing is diffrent) then they can cancel your order.

Just order the package, monitor shipped for me this morning, seperately from puter, refuse delivery on puter and keep monitor with all rebates

1. sure he is not pulling peoples' legs? i could be george bush on the internet (but why? i know)
2. if he is, how did he find out about that bbs? who told him?
