I'm not sure if its the same thing he was asking about, but I added a 200GB ATA 100 within a USB 2.0 external enclosure to this system, and it shows as 190GB in My Computer, as a removable drive. Didn't have to do anything special to get it to see the entire drive, except to go into Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management and select the drive. Since it was new, I chose to partition it as a primary partition and I also chose to assign a drive letter (R:/). hope that answered his question.

While inside the case, I noticed that the SR1710NX appears to have three PCI expansion slots and what i would assume is a PCI express video expansion slot. My question is: If I were to install a PCI Express video card, are all three PCI slots still available, or do you lose one like you did with AGP?

the 3400+ Sempron is 64 bit and if the A64 3200+ is free/near free I'd place it in another more performance oriented build(but that's just me ran mine for 2 months @ 2.5 ghz before I hosed my registry ..had a backup hd ready to drop then did a "Last Known Good" on the corrupt drive after setting bios back to default ) and should have no issues with obstructing slots but depends on the card and wasn't referring to an external hd addition but an internal in the case

I have an sr1630nx, same case and motherboard but with a Athlon64 3500+, and I didn't have any trouble removing the front cover. I only had to finagle the clips on one side and the bottom, never even removed the other side of the case.

I think mine comes with a slightly better PS, rated at 350w, and I'm using a 7900GT with no problems.

I've got a total of 1.5g of ram, and with the 7900gt this is a very nice game machine. You would think with all the holes in the side of the case it might be noisy, but I don't find that to be the case at all. The cpu HSF is noisy when first turned on, but in a second or two it slows down and then it's pretty quiet.

It turns out that the instructions for getting the front cover off the case (to add drives)were INSIDE the case. There is a nice little diagram that shows a green tab which needs to be pushed in order to release the case's hold on the top of the cover. Haven't tried it yet, but it would be a definate improvement over what I originally went through.

After your comment, I just booted mine up to listen and couldn't even hear it! Of course, I have an older, noisy computer running in the same room which might be able to drown out a rock band.
