Sometimes yes, sometimes no. In any case, most of the time the 6800 and the 6600GT are within +/- 3% of each other. Link IMHO, the 6800 is the worst bang for the buck vid card out there.Originally posted by: SynthDude2001

I'm pretty sure the 6800nu beats out the 6600GT almost all the time (I think).

GTO is an oem card, i believe dell puts it in their machines, same thing as the GT with slightly lower clocked memory, i believe.
I disagree. Bank for the buck in video cards can be measured in frames per dollar. With that in mind, both the 6600GT and the X800 XL are a better value than the 6800GT. Look at this link for example. The 6600GT performs within 80% to 98% of the 6800GT depending which resolution you look at. That means that the 6600GT gives you around 80% of the performance at about half the price of a 6800GT. I think the numbers are clear. 6600GT>6800GT on value. The X800 XL would fall between the 6600GT and the 6800GT on value.Originally posted by: Steg55

You forgot X800 XL in between the X800 Pro and the X700XT.Originally posted by: Kensai

Check newegg.com for current prices and IMHO, no they are not worth the money.Originally posted by: xyyz
really... hmmmm so right now... leaning towards the x800xl if it costs 50-100 less.
how much does the x800xt and the x850xt run... and are they worth the extra amount of money?
