that's VERY expensive for pc100 ram. I just paid 122 shipped for 256 stick of toshiba 133, running at 140, and running cas2-2-2. (2-2-2-5 to be exact). yes, I overpaid, too.

I, too, have bought tons of stuff from these guys. I've never had any problems. Actually, I did once, but they took care of me right away, even though the product had been out of warranty for a few weeks...
I would skip the memory, that's not a great deal, but like anything else, you gotta check everything out.

I like CompGeeks. Never a problem. Sometimes, they drag their feet on shipping, but they have great prices. And, I never buy refurb... They probably don't/can't test everything, so you're risking more there.

hmmm, they never gave me a problem, got my video card and my refurb 6x writer/4x DVD for 150 next day shipping from them. That is with a 6 month warranty so I figure I will beat it till it dies. Never had a problem tho maybe they have cleaner their act up. I must agree tho it looks ghetto

I've had great experience with CompGeeks. They get a lot of closeout stuff for excellent prices - I bought a *NEW* 2400 VA UPS made by Exide from them for $99 last year!! that is one big bad-ass UPS!

They were selling the Compaq 18" LCD monitors (that accept std. 15 pin VGA inputs) for $1100 brand new for a while. They since ran out and got another batch at a higher price....

Enough examples, suffice it to say that they sell a lot of closeout stuff - much of it new, much of it used or refurbed. It's all clearly marked and quite often a great deal (although not everything is). Use your brain and buy what you want - they are at least reliable.

Don't bash computergeeks, bought many items from them for years, without any problems. I once even shorted out a motherboard, they sent me a new one. Very reputable.

Why shouldn't someone express their opinion?

I don't care for compgeeks. Had a dispute with them, but since they
don't provide and invoice to confirm the purchase agreement, I had no
proof regarding the original agreement.

If they were concerned about being totally honest, they would provide an
invoice, on screen,available for print out.

Can't say if this has been implemented yet, since I never went back.

So- they could be the greatest since Onvia... but I doubt it.

To all those who like them... great.. but I think any warnings about potential

vendor problems should be welcomed....... Please... try and keep it true!
