Have not heard any reply from the lower order yet.
dealer here just got in some stag arms, don't know anything about them.
I have seen a few they look cheap.
I called and they are asking 1100

I've never heard anything bad about them but that price is inflated if it's just a standard model...

they have 4 left all T3 models
2 lr and 2 rh
Don't see a T3 model listed on their website but there is a model 3 that looks like this...

Info is pretty standard with chrome lined bore, 1/9 twist, railed gas block etc., looks like a decent enough rifle though they show a price of $895 direct which again shows some inflated pricing if it's the same model

yes its the 3. I said T3 for some strange reason.
With no sights and no rails or pads on the forarm its just a little to expensive.
But since all Ar's here are going for 1k plus (s&w and colt are going for 15-1800) and std old junk mags are $40 they are not ripping off as much as some of them.
I am hoping my lower order to get filled, I might call ask them to order 2.

The foregrip is railed on the top just not the bottom, but if that's what you want don't let it not being there to start with stop you, you can get a nice quad rail for it off Amazon for a hair over $30 and ladder rail covers for $15/4, unless you want pink which are more expensive And pretty much none of them come with sights anymore...

So I'm curious, do you have a line on parts to finish off one if you get a lower? What state are you in?

Just picked up a DPMS Panther Oracle for $750 + tax from Gander Mountain online. Lucky I found it in stock for about 30 minutes. Lowest price I saw for this AR before the scare was $657 from my local gun shop, which is now selling the same thing for $1399. Normal price is $700-$750 so I feel happy to have been able to pick it up at MSRP. First AR, already have 600 rounds of ammo.

Anyone recommend a good quad rail, sights, scope, foregrip, stock? I'd like to put some flat dark earth accessories on it.

Pick up one of the ~$35 quad rails off Amazon, they are as good as any out there and way cheaper, they also have FDE ladder rail covers for ~$15/4 and they match magpul FDE pretty closely...as for sights magpul BUIS, I've been thinking of trying the cheaper version of them that's supposed to be for airsoft, I mean how different could they really be? Scope depends on what you want, red dot, reflex, ACOG, etc...if a red dot look at Primary Arms, they have a nice multi-reticle that will only set you back about $100.
$14 + S/H, limit 2. (S/H was ~$5 for me)

I don't know if these are all that great, but they seem to be priced pre-panic, and for those of us in Kolorado they may be better than nothing
Nice find, I'm in for two, will use these for range and keep my pmags clean and safe:thumbsup:

A cheapo rail and airsoft sights? Seriously? If you want to use crap on your gun that's fine but don't lead someone else down that road. A poorly manufactured and heavy rail is not something most people want. You can get a qaulity Troy handguard for ~$150 depending on model and length. MBUS's are around $100 for the pair. I can't believe you'd want to cheap out on sights of all things, I mean seriously, the sights?!?! Not a lot money for quality gun parts.

Most people don't need a quad rail. You can get a Magpul MOE rail for $35 to mount a light and foregrip on, which is all most people mount anyways.

Buy once, cry once.

Maybe you've bought in to some of the hype but I've compared the quad rail I put on my wife's rifle to a Troy and one made by Primary Arms and they are the same weight and quality, just because you want to have a nice name on your parts doesn't make them actually better As for the "back-up sights" I said I've considered trying them, they are a back-up after all and not my primary...and when you're talking about $100 vs. $25 that's a big ass difference for a little plastic that takes zero stress at all, somehow I doubt there would be any problem using them as a back-up option.

I picked up my Oracle last night. Trying to figure out the sights, and realized something. The gas block is on a lower plane than the rear rail. This means, if I want to put a front sight on the gas block, it needs to be "gas block height" and aluminum (not plastic, so it doesn't melt).

So I could get this Magpul Gen 2 rear sight for $44:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

And this Midwest Industries Gas Block Height front sight for #82:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Total is $126 from Amazon.

If I want to put the front sight on the gas block, I don't really have any other options, do I? I'm planning on getting a quad rail, and could just put Magpul Gen 2 sights on that, but then the gas block is sitting vacant. And, I've also read you want the front sight as far forward as possible, which means I would have to use the gas block, and the above-linked Midwest Industries gas block height sight.

I will eventually get a red dot/scope but until then I want some sights.

Am I missing anything here? Is $126 for these sights a good deal, or should I look at a different solution?

TYIA,

I'm surprised the mods allowed this thread. Many years ago when I asked to have a firearms sale or deal thread I was told "no".

Corwin I wanted to let you know that the stag 3 comes with a diamondhead forarm and
they do NOT use anything that any other forarm does.
I was told by 2 people who had them and ended up replacing them,Notice the 4 screws in the picture. They do NOT line up with anyones add on rails or bumpers.

They were quite pissed and said do not buy anything from that POS company.
I am not sure if they were talking about stag or diamondhead.

ps one guy said his stag had major problems and after tons of emails and phone calls that were NEVER answered he got rid of it. He said you had to drive out the takedown pin with a hammer and punch.

sounds like they are selling junk

Weird, never heard anything bad about them before, of course never really heard anything good either so figured they were just run of the mill...don't see why they couldn't have just put a quad rail on it but maybe there's something weird they do to the barrel that makes it impossible to replace, can't imagine why any company would do that but it's possible...

Thanks for the info, I'll be wary if I come across one in the future
