Complex traffic shaping settings for gaming (counter-strike)

Basically I need to prioritize the packets for gaming over everything else (bittorrent, voip, video on demand, etc)

Would someone knowledgeable about how to configure QoS fill in the question marks below?

Counter-strike server use ports 27015 and 27016 so I'm trying to prioritize packets on these ports. The screenshot above is my initial stab at it, however it's not working.

Protocol: TCP or UDP? Do I need more than one rule?
Source IP Range: ?
Source Port Range: ?
Destination IP Range: ?
Destination Port Range: ?

The only thing off in your existing configuration is the source port. The client OS will always dynamically generate those ports from the range of 1024 to 65535, so the chances of it falling in the 27000-27016 are slim. While the source port is random, the destination will always be constant (the Counter-Strike defaults, unless the server is running on a custom port), which are what you have programmed. Try changing the source and see if it helps at all.

Another option is to not download torrents while gaming.

Put UDP above all and use priority queuing and your games will be fine.

Is that a commercial router or a consumer grade one? I have yet to see QoS work properly on a consumer grade router.

I don't believe it has priority queuing. Anyways, I tried Jamsan's advice and it seems to be working a bit better. Not quite sure if it's 100% effective but we'll see.

The reason behind it is because a few other roommates share the internet so they're always either streaming something or downloading something.
