Composite to "SVHS" converter?

So, i purchased one of those all in one converter boxes with VGA output. The Composite (yellow RCA) port is very sensitive and hardly ever works (and the place I bought it from isint responding...) so, I thought I could use the "SVHS" input for video. Only issue is, all of my perifs. are composite out...so basicaly what I am looking for is a female composite to male SVHS.

I tried the thing that came with my video card, as the male port on it looked a LOT like this svhs port, but for some reason it doesn't fit...I cant physically see what is not working, but it has the same 4 pins as the converter box does, so I dunno.

Any ideas?

SVHS? Do you mean svideo?
Something like this should work if it's svideo.

pic of unit <--weird, here they show it as "svideo in" but on the unit itself it says "SVHS in"

like i said, the converter that came with my video card, that looks to me like RCA to Svideo (plugs into my 6800GT just fine), doesnt fit in the converter socket, so I dunno

Err...couldn't you just use it the other way around? Get an svideo cable and plug the adapter into your peripherial?
Anyway, whichever one you need, any decent electronics store should have one. I dunno why the one from your video card doesn't work - maybe it's some kind of proprietary/other connector that just looks similar to svideo.

just buy one of those monster cable w/ svideo & rca for gamecube.

i think gamecube & n64 has same video connector thingy

Yes they do, infact I have on on my TV right now. My TV only accepts composite input so I have all of my devices hooked up to the reciever via S-Video then I run an S-Video cable from the reciever to the tv, hook up the S-Video converter to the TV and now I have clearer picture due to the Y/C and luminence being combined at the last point in the circuit, the tv. Since mine is s-video female and composite male, you can just get a gender changer or find a converter with opposite ends, the converter is the size of my pinky, very small as it's easy to do.
