Yeah, I would get that PC for $199.00, but I bet it is going to have AOL rebates tied to it

Are you sure this has PCI-Ex16? This is the same problem I seem to be having with the Dimention B110, on the side view there is something that looks like a AGP slot but they say in the description there isn't any? :?

I have the v2000z with an AMD Turion64 and Wireless g-Speedboster that works very well. Intergated graphics share the system RAM so the extra 512mb stick I added really helps.

As for the deal, these Compaqi go on sale at Staples/Office Depot/Office Max every two weeks or so with a Configure To Order special so you can build in all the stuff you want and still get $300 off the list price. Pass on this deal and wait for a CTO special.

i have been monkeying with this thing all this week and last week got it at office depot from the clearance sale before christmas
trying to get the onboard video disabled
(yes i tried clearing cmos and also i tried setting it to pci-e without the card inserted)
and yes i updated the bios to 3.40 from hp's website

You might want to find out first if the video card is upgradable. My sister has had an HP and a Compaq PC and neither had upgradable video.

hi pro actually makes coolermaster's power supplies.

a lot of the oems use them. x300se's use very little power , 14 amps on the 12v is low, but i am sure that would be enough for an x300se and whatever else was in the machine.
