The Blackout Busters work great! I'm definitely going to get another another one for my wife's PC. Anyone know if it would work for a home theater system?
That UPS is a GOOD DEAL!!!! Back then, I bought it for $60 with rebate, I thought it was good, now $30, man, it's like a steal!!! It's very good deal. I am very satisfied with the UPS, but I like my other UPS better though. IBM UPS looks better, hehe.
I have two of those BB UPSes and they're great. They work as well as an APC. When I was in my apartment for 2 years the power would drop every now and then, usually during a lightning strike. This thing would keep my system running without a hitch through it, not even a flicker on the monitor.
As for home theater, I did have my Sony receiver, VCR, and DVD player on the surge suppressor. That's how I could tell it was a drop rather than a surge because the receiver would always go off after a drop. Seems to have done a good job of proecting them.
Would definitely recommend the UPS. Plus I didn't have any problems with their rebates (3 years ago).
