Samsung 19" 912n LCD Monitor - $379.99 AR

Good deal?

Also, the ATI 9600XT AIW at $129.99 AR looks like a good deal to me. I honestly don't know what the XT portion represents though.

xt represents slightly faster than pro
I would go for that, especially since its an AIW, but ATI has crappy Linux driver support~~~ so a no go for me...

But I truly hope that the 1gig mp3 player is 99.99 after rebate...a VERY nice xmas present for that. That is osmething i'll defeintely jump on though! And maybe the 512 stick for myself also

how do the Motorola wireless adapters compare to the ones at Best Buy? (D-Link)
The router + card at BestBuy still seems like the best deal

I hope not that would mean I would have to get there by 4:00 to get a good spot in line. Not to mention the 20 minute drive to get there.

You'd better count on it, because you know crapUSA is only going to have about 3 of each of these things in stock!!

Looks to me like they've eliminated the 15% restocking fee for holiday purchases. Anyone else read this differently?

"Holiday Returns
At CompUSA, we believe in being fair to our customers. If you are not satisfied with a product you purchased from us during the Holidays (11/14 ? 12/24) and you return the product with the original receipt or invoice on or before January 8, 2005, you may exchange the product or receive a refund. If you do not have the original receipt, you may exchange unopened product for a CompUSA merchandise card. Items must be in new condition, with the original box, packaging, manuals, accessories, and UPC code. Opened software, games, and videos may only be exchanged for the same title.

Returns may be credited to a CompUSA merchandise card or, if you prefer, to the original credit card. Purchases made by cash or check over $250 will be refunded by a check from our corporate office within 10 business days. "

The 6800 price doesn't look bad, although I bet the rebates are insane and to a bad handling company. Also I would expect to have maybe 5 or less of something like that at each store.

Otherwise most of this stuff looks like normal sales

"100-Pack Blank DVD Media (+ or -) - $19.99"

Hmm. Guessing that is either no-name generic or house-brand media, any idea on mfg or speeds? I have a spindle of "2X" CompUSA-branded Princo media here, that I've decided not to use for anything important. But if that is some sort of no-name CMC 4X DVD media, it might not be too bad, I'm using a spindle of "ValueDisc" 4X CMC DVD+Rs here, that I got from OM, and they seem fine so far.

I still have a good majority of my original haul of 500-odd of those Memorex CD-Rs that I bought from last year's BF sale at CompUSA. I think that I overbought, especially after finally getting a DVD burner.

That Mad Dog 16X Dual-layer DVD burner is most likely an NEC ND3500A model, which is a good drive, and a reasonable price AR, although you can get it for $70 or so right now from NewEgg without a rebate attached. Hopefully it may come down in price further just before the BF sale. I would love to upgrade from my ND1300A for $50 or so.

Edit: Those CMC discs are not fine, I found a couple with dye inconsistencies, and another that burned with CRC errors. Not sure what's going on here, I burned about 20-odd with no problems whatsoever. Hope that the one disc I burned with a dye blotch didn't damage my recorder.

Cheers

If the PNY 6800 is after rebate, then I'd probably rather just get the BFG 6800oc for $250 from Frys with Far Cry and without any rebate BS.
