Picked up the 512 MB DDR stick, 350 watt PS and an Adaptec USB 3.5 enclosure (50% off) yesterday. Went to the store at about 10'ish and found these to still be in stock (Buckland Mall in CT). THANKS, OP!!

I picked up the TDK 8X DVD-R's for 17.99 for a spindle of 50. They were labeled made in Japan and they were the TYG02 media code. Cheapest I've paid yet for TY's. $0.36/disk.

Also bought the 4X DVD-R's by FMI for 19.99 for the 100 disk spindle. They were the white topped variety, similar to the Sonic DVD's (MUST001 media code) people were buying from Shop4tech awhile back. Looks like they are the printable type. The disks were Princo's when I checked them with DVD Info Pro. Decent deal for $0.20/disk. The spindle I bought was made in Taiwan. The DVD+R's were the silver topped kind and they had two kinds of spindles. One made in Taiwan the second was made in Hong Kong. I didn't buy any of the +R's.

Just a note ...

The FAR Mad Dog 350W SurePower P.S. is actually a quite decent power supply. Has SATA support and a shrouded, dedicated 4 pin P.S. connector for video cards. Has dual fans as well, so it's not the quietest, though by no means noisy. Does not have 24 pin mobo connection, nor PCI-e support. Supply is either a Fortron or a Super Flower, if you read the threads.

Can someone please post the specs for the power supply. There is nothing listing anywhere for this thing, even on the box!

i got an employee to open a open box yesterday
its label says 20A on +12V
power plugs are very similar to fortron's power plugs (different color than mine) -- have exact same handles to squeeze for ease of removal

YAY!

Bought all the media I will need for awhile.

90 CDR's for 9.99 instant savings.
25 DVD+RW for 9.99.
100 DVD-R for 19.99

They also had 100 packs of DVD+R, I'm assuming they were the same price.

They were all sold out of the 80 packs of jewel cases.

80 GB WD hard drive, got the $15 instant savings, will be 29.99 after 2 mail in rebates.

Got the air, $5.00 after instant savings, will be FAR.

Got MS Money for my wife to use, marked down to 39.99, plus has a $20 MIR.

Got the Moto router, no instant savings, rebates (3 of them!) bring it down to $7.99. Probably going to trade that to a friend of mine, possibly with a little cash, for another laptop later.

Sold out of the 350 watt PSU, forgot to look for the paper (got distracted when I found the big racks of all the sale stuff in the aisle in the back of the store) and didn't see the typing program I was looking to get for my wife.

I didn't see a listing of what DVD's qualified for the 3/20 sale, so I didn't bother.

I'm probably going to try the Detroit store tomorrow, (I tried the Novi one today) and see what they have in stock. They did have lots of the hard drives and routers left today.

Well, I picked up the PSU. 20A @12v is enough for my system.
Thanks for posting the specs.

Picked up the Motorola wireless G adapter to stream dvd over the network to the lappy. It installed and configured easily. I have a Belkin router. Signal strenth isn't the greatest compared to the onboard "B" of the lappy from the same location in the house.

how can I find out their @ cost price?

I supposedly can buy their stuff @ the cost + 10% for hardware and + 8% for software.

I wonder if I can get some deals.

I picked up the 350w power supply, microsoft mouse, power surge and wireless router. Paid 140$ but should be about 18$ after MIR.
This was a good deal. I only hope with the CompUSA rebate settlement I get my money!

if anybody bought that butt-ugly compaq mouse, it was advertised for $5 after rebate, but the compusa rebate search yields 3 different $5 rebates, so you might be able to get it for free instead!
Here's the link search for sku 317289 and dates between 3/6 and 3/10. sorry I couldn't find a link to the product online... ymmv but i'm gonna try it

here's what i posted in slickdeal.net, just my 2 cents.
OK, went to the one nearest my house. no line, they let ppl in like 10 min before 6. it was super crowded inside, i thought i might not get the things i wanted. but well, as far as i can see, they have quite of bit of stocks. here's what i find out,
-APC surge protector ~15 in stock
-Memories ~a whole ton
-Hitachi HD ~10 or 15
-Maddog burner ~10 or 15
-Belkin router ~a whole ton

the trick is, the "hot" items like memories, burner, and hitachi hd, they don't put on display shelf, instead they place them on a shelf in the "business" section, they only give it to you if you asked them. i believe that way the salesman can talk you into buying other stuff.

I got the Averatec laptop, and boy it's a SUPER NICE laptop. thin, not heavy, nice screen, all in a compact box. this laptop is sooooo much better than the Toshiba one back in OD for about same price. THEY DO NOT have this laptop on shelf or anywhere in the store, you have to ask them for the deal, then some sales manager came out with one and talked 10 mins about their 3-yr warranty, which i rejected by saying i wanna compare their warranty price with the Averatec warranty first... blah blah.

anyway, my point is, they actually DO stock up the sales items, i see hundreds of 30-pack CDR stocked up on floor, the Averatec itself had about 4 left when i bought mine. Overall it was good experience cuz i guess i dodged those warranty offer fairly well.

Hey guys....

Anyone get in on the Photosuite software which was supposedly FAR ?

Well I bought one and I printed out the rebates and realized that one of the rebates was for an upgrade version... However the rebate will accept a photocopy of the actual CD-ROM of the old software...

Can somebody help me out and email me a scanned pic of an old photsuite, adobe elements, Jasc paintshop pro, Corel Draw, or Ulead photoimpact CD-ROM?

Anyone else have the same problem?
