Please tell me they are closing the one in Deerfield Beach, FL too. It is the crappiest store I have ever been in. Things are always a mess, they are always out of stuff, they seem to be forever "rearranging the store", people don't know jack when you ask a question, and that's the good points. At least the guy that told people wrong information and sold them unnecessary networking stuff is gone now. Computer cases are stacked near the ceiling with no name tags or prices listed. I wanted to buy an AOpen cube case they had once, and asked for a price. Some jerk said, "Go look it up on our website and if you want to buy it, come back and ask for it". I left, it was NOT on the website, nor did I go back.

If I find something at CompUSSR that I want to buy, instead of driving 3 miles to this store, I drive 20 to Ft. Lauderdale. I was in Palm Beach today and ate next door to CompUSSR so we stopped in after lunch. I walked in and said, "WOW what an awesome CompUSA store!!! I congratulated employees on doing a fantasic job and gave them a comparison of the Deerfield Store.

BestBuy got smart and quit the multi rebate pricing, but CompUSSR still has no clue. The only thing I seem to buy there is Lan Boy cases when they are on sale for $35-40 with one rebate, my max. I have bought 3 in the last couple years.

city of industry here i come. it doesnt surprise me that that specific store is closing. besides their bottom line probably being really bad (it was always fairly empty whenever i went) their service sucked (a couple of the few people there were always pissed and complaining to the manager).

store design stuck in the 90's, i'm not surprised. the few times i've bothered going recently they were rather empty, i wondered how they were staying in business.
