Before anyone gets too excited about the Back-UPS ES 350: 29.99 - 30 MIR = (0.01) 294979 or the 30-pk cd-rs 290208 or the multipurpose paper 140866, I believe that these are only free when purchased in conjunction with a desktop or notebook computer.

You also get free after rebates with that kind of purchase the following:

I'm trying to check the MIR online for the Back-UPS but its taking awhile for it to load.

I don't think it requires you to purchase a desktop or notebook computer.

However, the ones you posted require them. I didn't post them up because they have bundle MIR while Back-UPS didn't.

Thanks! Picked up the Shuttle mp3 player free after rebate at the B&M! Epinions says it has a memory expansion probem and gives a German site for the patch for MMC card: http://www.pollin.de/serviceseite.htm (behebt das Programmproblem nach der Speichererweiterung).
Also says to only use 32 meg MMC. Anyone familiar with these issues and should I use this patch? Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Purchased the Shuttle Player last week when it was listed at $19.99 on the COMPUSA web site. In any case, the thing is nothing more than an 8mb player. It is supposed to take MMC cards but when mp3 files are stored on it sound comes out garbled. I'm actually on my way to COMPUSA to return the thing. Not worth the hassle.

Just got back from CompUSA. All the stuff that's "FREE" on the front page is only free if you buy with a system. Also, the 120GB SE WD is $229.99 in store (That's with the $40 instant rebate). I guess the $109 price is only good online. Anyone else see otherwise?

ConUSA sux big time.

They don't pay the rebates, the CS is bad, salespeople are not knowledged.

Even if those FAR were not bundeled to a system, you would not get your rebates anyhow.

I don't understand why somebody would waste his time going there!

I just got it working and improved the sound 100% with a new set of ear buds. Still don't know if a MMC card will be trouble. FYI

well i got the cdrs, not a bad deal they have label coverings yay! its always hard to tell when a weird brand spindle is covered from all sides with paper. last time i went to circuit city to get a weird brand cdr spindle i got one with the totally ghetto silvery top cdrs. zero protection from scratch/flaking.

Don't sound like a good deal to me tat much. The MP3 player was owned by a friend of mine back a few months. It s**ked really badly. Anyone who has officemax or staples nearby should check out their deals instead. They're better

so I must be wasting $2000+ worth of stuff I got for free so far...

maybe I am lucky but I haven't had one problem yet..

If you have some issues, fill out the customer service questionaires that are stacked at the register.
