TDK burners have been top of the list for a while now (i think since the 24x drives)

So I can walk into KompUSSR with that Ghost coupon and walk out with Norton Ghost 2002 for free without paying anything? Damn that's awesome. I may be picking up that burner too, I need a new one and I've read good things about TDKs

does ghost only work with fat32? (i.e. DOS partitions?) i have the version that came with my motherboard, and it tells me to open up dos, while i am running ntfs.
Ghost will read/write any drive format... including NTFS. You have to use the bootdisks that the program will create for you to touch any NTFS partition, as the partition can not be mounted while having these operations performed on themghost 2002 will clone a NTFS to another drive, but it will not do images to another NTFS drive. So don't expect to make any images to other partitions/drives with NTFS. Use drive image for that.

Just went to the local compusa to try to pick up ghost 2002. total waste of time. store manager first tried to deny that the ad was for this week, then spent about a half hour in the back room verifying that the ad i printed was actually available on line. then she comes back and says that the breakdown is $10 instant savings, $40 compusa mail-in rebate, and $20 symantec upgrade mail-in rebate. The symantec rebate requires you to have proof of purchase of a prior version of ghost. Both compusa and symantec rebates require the original proof of purchase (???).
pretty misleading, if you ask me. i pointed out to her that the advertisement never mentioned anything about having to own a previous copy of ghost, and her response was to point to the description which said "Powerful solutions for system upgrading, backup and recovery". it was useless at that point to try to explain what the software actually did.
To make matters worse, the compusa rebate that she finally gave me was only for $30 off. when I asked why it wasn't $40 as she had stated, she just shrugged and said "this is all i have".
