Since this is a CompUSA thread, I may as well add this little find in here:

While at my local CompUSA yesterday (I went there to secure some of the merch that'll be going on sale), I found a Targus Retractable Phone Cord (item #199347) on clearance for $0.88. It's listed @ $5.88 on CompUSA's web-site (where it also lists the "in-store" price as $3.99). This is a handy little phone cord to include in a laptop bag.

Anyway, the CompUSA I went to only had one of these left (it was brand new, sealed in the package), so they may be hard to come by. With that said, if you find one for $0.88 or less, it's a nice lil' doodad at that price. YMMV.

Note: The image at CUSA's web-site is a little different than the one I got. Mine's got phone cords sticking out the left 'n right sides. The image on the CUSA web-site has one end of the phone cord coming out the back of the device.

i have a k6-2 350 with 256. it has problems with divx stuff, but i runs straight vcds off the teac 8x burner/32x btc cdrom np
but it may just be a config problem on my part, as when i disable the sb 16 isa in dmgr (win me standard driver ), video plays fine...

I have a DVD burner on a P2 1.8GHz. My personal opinion is it likely to work for you unclebud. But like all burner, you should leave the PC alone to let it finish burning. And since DVD have burn stuff to burn, it will take even longer.

I am playing around see which way is best use to burn. I have Nero 5.5 and A Pioneer A05 and Pioneer 104 DVD reader. It seem to be faster and don't take much sys. resource when I burn directly from the DVD reader to DVD burner. 45min comparing to 1:10... but that still too long. :|

Hmm, if the image of that Mad Dog CDRW is accurate, the DOTTED LINE pattern in the bottom part of the faceplate is indicative of a BENQ. Who is BENQ? A spin-off of ACER. Don't forget to check out the ATI AIW Radeon 8500 128MB for $150 after $50 instant savings and two $50 MIRs. Already in another thread but I thought I'd tack it on here too... AT also has a nice article on this card. This deal is B&M as well as online, although some B&M are already OOS.

Pricegrabber shows lowest price of $250 or so. Nice deal until the ATI AIW Radeon 9700 Pro comes down in price .

You can get rebates for mutlple items, but only 1 rebate per item, right? It's not just 1 rebate per person or anything like that is it?
