CompUSA purchase could be comped on June 3rd

I heard on the radio this morning that CompUSA BM stores will be comping 1 purchase per hour on June 3rd(I think), between 9am and 9pm.

I dont know if this is HOT or not.. but it could be for somebody.

I think that would violate their return policy and possibly state law to not allow returns for normal purchases.

How would it violate their return policy, I think you might be confusing returning a a product was was comp'd, ckgun was referring to returning an item that was purchased.

I am referring to a purchased product that was not comped and then returned the next day as cKGunslinger inquired.

If they did not allow returns then this would violate their own policy. States have their own merchandise return laws as well.

Do they comp it on the spot so you know instantly if you win? Just go in and buy a brand new big TV. If you don't win, return it and buy it again the next hour... Technically nothing forbidding you from doing that I guess...

they probably do it like 30 days after the purchase or something else where it will be after the inital period so that you don't go into the store all day and return every hour.

Knowing stores like CompUSA, you'll have to buy service plans, installations and all sorts of BS to qualify, which will be non-refundable.


Could be hot, but sounds like it will be crappy.

I'd bet the odds are AT LEAST 1/10,000.

Umm.. I highly doubt that a CompUSA store does 10,000 transactions per hour. That'd be a lot of checkout lines.

According to the ad I heard today, the "one comp per hour" is across multiple stores, which lowers your chances even more. *shrug*

Also, like most contests, they did mention that you could go to their website for info on a "no-purchase necessary" entry.
