Pretty hot for the router and USB adapter.....only thing is that is quite a bit of money to have wrapped up in rebates.

Thanks! A friend asked me this morning if I knew of a cheap notebook card that he wouldn't have to get shipped. The Netgear fits the bill perfectly.

Also a 802.11b wireless card or USB Adaptor for $5

Does anyone know the model # for the USB adaptor? If it's what I think this is, it's extremely hot becuase it's one of the few wireless adaptors that will work on a series 2 TiVO...

Does anyone know if there's a limit of one per customer on the network stuff ?

Previous deals had limits of up to 10.

Has anyone picked one up and can tell me if this item has a detachable antenna? There are three MR814 models available:
MR814v3 - white
MR814v2 - smaller than v1 and does not have the detachable antenna
MR814v1 - with the detachable antenna

I am planning to run a wireless network to my shop, which is 1600 ft from the AP and will need to use a couple of rooftop directional antennas.

It's a VERY good notebook, same as the emachines m6805. I'm using it to play half life 2 right now @1280 x 800 wide screen. VERY fast, has cool, and quiet for the athlon 64. Highly reccomended. can't find it anywhere for less than $1100, maybe even $1200.

Thats good to hear. I cannot find any reviews online for it but I am very close to pulling the trigger. The fact there are no rebates make it even sweeter. Needs a ram upgrade but thats easy. Thanks for chiming in.

look up "emachines m6805" it's the same exact computer... except the m6805 ships with 512MB of ram. Be careful about the RAM you can only upgrade 1 dim without voiding the warentee, and even if you do remove both it will only support 1 dim at DDR 400 speed. The video card only has 64 MB of ram and it's clocked at 300 core 200 mem, but the core can easily hit 400, and mem tops from what some say 210-215.

The product code listed on the flyer matches the DVP-642 as you say.

Nice price!

edit: It appears that Amazon also has it for $64 + free shipping and no tax.

Kinda OT but if you sign up for amazons visa platinum cc and qualify, then you will get a $30 amazon GC usable right after you qualify for the card. Just use the cc and apply the $30 GC and get the dvd player for around $35 shipped. If you dont want to keep the cc then just pay the $35 bill and cancel the card.

I visited the CompUSA in Philadelphia (Franklin Mills Mall) today. They had plenty of the Netgear stock.

The guy at the register looked kinda funny at the webpage printout but managed to punch in the override prices and the rebates printed out at the register correctly.

Two Notes: There is a limit of 3 per product for the Netgear stuff.

Also, a $5 off 25 Coupon Printed out with this purchase too (good on future purchases). Expires 11/30/2004.

Nice deal - Thanks OP !

Nope, atleast not our region anymore. Just about a week ago our managers announced that there will be no restocking fee just as long as they include all the orginal materials and its in reasonable condition so we can sell it again. I hope people dont start abusing it and basically renting products, but in the long run I think it will attract more customers, especially during this holiday season.

Hmm. If I have a printer with a USB port in it, could I get that USB wireless adapter thing and pop it in and use the printer wirelessly? Somehow I don't think that would work since the printer doesn't have a network jack in it so probably needs an external printer server attachment type thing but thought I'd ask...

What type of printer is it? The HP photosmart printers starting with the 56/57/58 ink carts (and now the 96/97) CAN use some wireless usb keys, and they can also use usb bluetooth adapters for anyone who is interested in that. I'd check the net for more info.
