Has anyone received two drives? I hope they send my 2nd drive, gave the frist one away.

Ya know for a list price of $280, you would think they would at least include a good quality CDRW disk along with the burner. But all that came in my package were two el cheapo Ritek CDRs. Heck, even my $30 Memorex 4x2x24 came with a decent CDRW. Oh well I guess two is better than one

uscpte7: Where can we get firmware updates for the 12/10/32 Sanyo drive, the BP1300P? I can't find any updates for this drive on Sanyo's site even though they have plenty of updates for the 12/4/32 drive, the BP900P.

Wow! I got my drive today, even though I cancelled my order last week 1.29.01. I have since bought a HP drive (which I sold on eb@y today). So I'm not pissed that they messed up my order, actually I'm glad. Good work Compusa!

After weeks of checking the doorstep for my box the day has finally come!!! Ever since I heard they were shipping sanyo's instead I was getting ready for the letdown of the 2 led drive. I open the box and ....... 1 led wooohooo a plextor. order wb507##. Shipped fedex 2 day. I complained and it looks like they upgraded the shipping, or is 2 day normal? anyway I FINALLY got it

FWIW: I received only one of the drives I ordered, but interestingly it had one of those B&M anti-theft devices stuck to the package. Probably to keep anyone from stealing it off the delivery truck. You don't think they lied to us when they said the on-line and B&M are TOTALLY separate businesses do you ;-)

Looks like CompUSA no longer talking to customers:

I was supposed to get a call back after talking to someone early last week... nothing.

I e-mailed...no reply.

I left a message Friday...no call back.

I called numerous times today just to be cut off after a half hour on hold.

My drive was supposedly delivered but they have my money and I have no drive. They're looking more like a fly-by-night e-commerce scam.

spycatcher: I doubt it. The tracking numbers of Fedex are all screwed up, and CompUSA has never replied or called back. =) Just wait a day or 2 more, than complain to your cc company I guess. I thought they lost my drive too, stupid tracking numbers.

Anyone still interested in the rebate deal? After receiving the Iomega/Plextor (job order 43070 & ordered 2000/12/31) today I checked with CompUSay & was told that rebate would be honored & I could call Iomega @ 800-510-2586 to check for myself. I did and lo & behold was given a 'special' address to which the expired rebate should be sent (can I post the address?).

Mine got cancelled because of stupid MBNA shopsafe.
Shopsafe number was generated on Dec 31, compusa tried to
charge it on 23, but it was declined. MBNA said the number expired on 22. It does not make sense; the number should be good for a month.

Compusa refused to take different cc, and MBNA refused to acknowledge fault. Customer service is absolutely an oxymoron.

Anyone else has problem with MBNA shopsafe or similar service from discover card? Or am I the only hapless bastard?

Enjoy the drives for those who got the plextors!

Got e-mail from compusa today and the drive was shipped. I ordered it on 12/31/00, order # WB507**. Now I got to see which drive I get.

Folks, the wait is worth it! I got mine last week and it added another demension to my box (I didn't have a burner previously). It is so much better/faster than the HP SureWriter at work!! I've already backed up CDs that the HP refused to copy! LOL - I'm gonna have to contract out to my employer - the state of Texas!
